Kailyn Lowry’s defamation case against her Teen Mom 2 co-star Briana DeJesus has been dismissed.

The mother-of-four originally filed the lawsuit in July 2021 over a Celebuzz interview Briana gave in which she claimed Kailyn “physically beat” the father of her two youngest sons, Chris Lopez, as well as broke into Lopez’s mother’s home. Kailyn denied Briana’s assertions. The lawsuit also focused on an Instagram livestream Briana held in which she discussed the allegations further.

However, on Monday morning, a judge ruled in favor of Briana. According to The Ashley, the decision came from the judge’s chambers and a hearing didn’t take place. It’s yet to be decided whether Kailyn is responsible for Briana’s legal fees.

But the case was dismissed for two reasons. Not only did Kailyn not properly notify Briana she was being sued, but her case also violated the state’s Anti-SLAPP statute. This statute prevents strategic lawsuits against public participation from being filed – cases that are meant to deter, intimidate, or silence critics.

Both reality stars have responded to the judge’s decision. Briana took to Twitter to share an article about Kailyn’s loss. “Suck my dick,” she accompanied the post. “That’s all I have to say,” Briana added with a prayer emoji.

She later posted screenshots from an Amazon order for a clown costume, which she implied she’ll be sending to Kailyn. Previously, Briana sent her co-star a treadmill in the mail, which Kailyn took as a diss towards her weight.

Kailyn also released a statement on her social media expressing disappointment with the ruling. “While today’s ruling is unfortunate, I have to respect the judge’s decision,” she wrote. “With that being said, I stand by my truth and the information spread about me was and still is not true.”

The former teen mom added she’s looking forward to moving on, writing, “I would like to thank my legal team for fighting for me and I am looking forward to life after this lawsuit so I can refocus my energy solely on my boys and my future business endeavors.”

While most of their Teen Mom co-stars have stayed silent on the feud, TM2 star Jade Cline came to Briana’s defense.

“F**k being “the bigger person” all the time. Half the time that s**t isn’t worth it,” Jade tweeted, adding, “Half the time I’ve brushed s**t off or just stayed quiet, I regretted it later. I’m not doing it anymore or playing nice with ppl in life lol. Being nice really don’t get you anywhere half the time.”

Jade also posted an emoji of a clown, which Briana then re-tweeted with a multitude of the same emojis.

Kailyn’s baby daddy Chris Lopez – who was central to the lawsuit and was rumored to have been involved with Briana in the past – has yet to give his two cents on the outcome.
