No one can say that nothing good came between the Pete Davidson/Ariana Grande breakup any longer. Let's start with some basic math. Four classic teen movies from the late 90's/early 00's plus one song about four exes carry one pop star with an outrageous music video goal and the result is a hilarious mash-up that no girl who was alive during the 90's/00's can be mad at. We're sure there are also plenty of guys out there digging this video, too. The movies in our equation are Mean Girls, Bring It On, 13 Going On 30 and Legally Blonde.

Ariana Grande said that four classic teen movies helped to provide her with powerful yet fun role models during her childhood.

"We are basically recreating a bunch of my favorite scenes from classic, girly, early 2000's, 90's movies that have shaped and molded so many of us into the strong and intelligent but still playful and girly women that we are today," Grande said on the set of her video.

In the video, Grande emulates the main characters from each of the films, playing Regina George (Rachel McAdam's character) from Mean Girls, Torrance Shipman (Kirsten Dunst's character) from Bring It On, Jenna Rink (Jennifer Garner's character) from 13 Going On 30 and Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon's character) from Legally Blonde. We think it's interesting that she chose to play Regina George rather than keeping with the theme by playing Lindsay Lohan's character, quirky heroine Cady Heron from Mean Girls but then again, who wouldn't want to play Regina, the ultimate queen bee?

Many of the scenes that Grande chose to recreate for her music video were iconic moments in classic girly movie history but there are more than a few of us out there who have scratched our heads, wondering where certain scenes fit into the movie theme. Fear not, we've got a complete breakdown, scene by scene, decoded and solved just for you.

First up, Mean Girls. The music video starts with a montage of would-be high-schoolers fueling the local rumor mill with things they've heard about Grande a.k.a. Regina George. In this version, it's YouTube star central. Cue to Grande writing about her exes (Big Sean, backup dancer, Ricky, Pete Davidson and in mention, the late Mac Miller) in her burn book as she lays in a Regina George-sized bed. Next, it's time for the Plastics to heat things up at the Winter Talent Show complete with a camcorder-toting momager stumbling around in the audience.

The next scene begins with the music video tackling the second film, Bring It On as we see Grande walking down a hall to a bathroom where she begins to brush her teeth. This seems to be one of the most unrecognized scenes in the film but fans of the cheer movie will remember it fondly as the flirty dental hygiene scene between Kirsten Dunst's character, Torrance and Jesse Bradford's character, Cliff. In between flashes of Grande scrubbing her pearly whites, we see her in a yellow-walled bedroom which replicates Torrance's bedroom. At one point, Grande holds a cassette tape in her hand that is labeled "To Ari From Ari." In the movie, Cliff sends Torrance a similar tape that says "To Torrance From Cliff." As Torrance plays the cassette, she hears Cliff singing a rock song that he wrote in her honor and she grabs her pom-poms and does some very embarrassing dance moves on her bed. In the music video, Grande follows suit. The sequence ends with a cheer-off between the Toros and the Clovers.

Next up, it's Grande's take on 13 Going On 30 starring Jennifer Garner. A tearful Grande carries a dollhouse while passing a bride and her bridesmaids. She sets the dollhouse down in front of a real house and lightly arranges the furniture inside while crying. This is one of the final scenes from the movie and is the emotional climax of the film. A handful of pink pixie dust carries us into the next scene.

Finally, it's time to take some legal action and Grande would make Woods proud, driving a black convertible with her very own dog, Toulouse playing the Bruiser to her Elle Woods. She recreates many scenes from Legally Blonde starting with walking on campus, studying in style on the lawn, getting advice from Jennifer Coolidge herself in a nail salon to working out on an elliptical in her dorm room with an orange clamshell iBook opened in front of her.

The video ends with a collage of previous scenes and has us running for the sofa in search of Netflix for a catch-up session with some old, dear friends. Most all of the actresses from the original movies have already reached out to Grande on social media, expressing their approval and delight with her homage. Thanks for the sweet trip down memory lane, Ariana!
