On Monday night’s finale episode, Katie Thurston chose Blake Moynes, a 30-year-old unemployed wildlife manager from Canada. Moynes is a familiar face from The Bachelor franchise and first appeared on Clare Crawley / Tayshia Adams seasons.

He was late to the game but ended up scoring the final rose and proposing to Katie.

Unfortunately, the failed relationship between Katie and Greg overshadowed the happy proposal. Front-runner, Greg Grippo, shockingly self-eliminated after a verbal altercation with the leading lady. He quit the show after he confessed his love for Katie and got no reaction in return.

The pair's relationship was ultimately irreparable. Katie was ready to take the next flight out of Albuquerque, but something was holding her back.

Possibly the six-foot-tall muscly Canadian ring shopping I suppose.

Blake's Proposal Speech

Moynes said, “I know how great of a wife you’re going to be, mother you’re going to be, but I know there’s things that scare you. And I know that you in the past have talked about how you’ve had to compromise the way that you are to make relationships work, and I don’t want you to do that. But I can’t give you what you came here for. Because you deserve a lot more than that."

The two revealed they are still going strong on the After the Final Rose segment. Blake ended the night by reenacting his reenactment from the iconic Breakfast Club scene.

On the show, Blake appeared outside of Katie’s room holding a boom box above his head, and apparently, that moment was supposed to stick with us. If you don't remember that memorable scene, it explains why the finale ended with a bunch of strangers from the audience waving boom boxes in the air while Katie and Blake slow danced.

Ah... happily ever after, alas.

Now that Katie's crazy ride has come to a close, there is only one thing left to do. Discuss all of the hysterical memes that came from the wild finale.
