When it comes to reality television, The City is a show that any The Hills fan watched! While Whitney Port may have started her on-camera career alongside Lauren Conrad, she was front and center in her own MTV spin-off. The City first aired in 2008 and ran for two seasons before getting canceled. Despite the show coming to an end faster than fans anticipated, it still delivered the heartbreak, drama, and romance that viewers loved watching.

While we know Whitney Port has gone on to become a superhero mom, there is still much about her and the rest of the cast that fans don't know about. So, while we may know what the cast of The Hills has gotten up to, what about our fellow friends in New York City? Here's what our favs such as Whit, Roxy, Kelly Cutrone, and the fabulous Joe Zee are up today!

Whitney Port reigned as the show's lead, however, this was by no means her first go at reality television. Port first began her career in front of the cameras back in 2006 when she joined the cast of The Hills. Whitney had left the show, which focused on Lauren Conrad at the time, for her own New York City spin-off.

Now that the show is long and gone, Whitney is now an esteemed fashion designer, and mother to her and her hubby, Tim Rosenman's son, Sonny. Whitney also made a return to MTV when The Hills: New Beginnings was revealed as a reboot, giving fans another go at some major nostalgia.

9 Roxy Olin

Roxy Olin is certainly one character from The City that fans could not get enough of! Roxy played the role of Whitney's bestie slash roommate that always brought the heat. Roxy is also the daughter of Ken Olin, who played Michael Steadman in the ABC series, Thirtysomething, which won him a Golden Globe in 1990.

While she always talked about acting on The City, Roxy ended up pursuing film and television after the show wrapped, and has appeared in Brothers & Sisters, The Mob Doctor, and Sleepy Hollow, to name a few.

8 Olivia Palermo

Olivia Palermo joined the series at the very beginning and was introduced to fans as Whitney's co-worker as Diane Von Furstenberg. Palermo later scored herself a position at Elle magazine in the fashion department, however, it was later revealed that her role at Elle was purely for the show.

Palermo was definitely the series villain, so much that she made lists across the country ranking some of the most hated people. Yikes! Luckily for Olivia, her reality TV days are well in the past and she currently reigns as a fashion influencer and entrepreneur, with a booming social media following.

7 Erin Kaplan

Erin Kaplan was yet another The City fav as she navigated being the head of public relations at Elle magazine all while balancing Olivia Palermo's presence. It was clear that the two did not get along, and while we now know it's because Olivia could not have cared less about her job, fans at the time were wiser than none, leaving millions siding with Kaplan throughout the series.

Erin has remained in public relations since the show has ended, and left Elle for Teen Vogue, which is where Whitney Port began her fashion career. Erin currently works as the head of public relations for Architectural Digest, a gig that everyone would kill for!

6 Jay Lyon

Jay Lyon joined the series back in its first season, however, after cheating, rumors began swirling about, his relationship with The City lead, Whitney Port, ended, and Jay was gone for good. Although his Aussie accent and rock band charm swayed Port and millions of viewers, the star didn't make it into the second season, despite his attempt at reconciling with Whitney.

Jay is now a model and resides in Australia where he's gotten into a bit of trouble with the law. After getting a DUI and his Australian license revoked says Daily Mail, Jake was charged with using an expired American license, making it clear no lesson was ever really learned.

5 Kelly Cutrone

Kelly Cutrone made her first appearance on The Hills back in season 3 as Lauren and Whitney's boss at her PR firm, People's Revolution. Kelly later joined Port in her New York City-based show, The City, where she played the role of Whitney's mentor. After the show's end, Kelly got her own reality TV show on Bravo, Kell On Earth, which only lasted one season.

She later appeared on America's Next Top Model as a judge and released not one, but two New York Times best-selling books. The PR maven remains in New York City as she continues producing fashion shows and representing some of the top brands in fashion today.

4 Joe Zee

Joe Zee was without a doubt one face fans always looked forward to seeing on their TV screens. Joe served as the creative director for Elle magazine, a position he held for over 7 years. The star was essentially Erin and Olivia's boss, and while he tried to come off as the serious fashion exec, Joe was just too full of love and smiles to be the "bad guy".

Joe eventually left Elle in 2014 and moved on over to Yahoo! where he served as the editor-in-chief and executive creative officer of Yahoo! Style. Today, Joe is now in the midst of producing television shows centered around the fashion industry, which he revealed to Whitney Port earlier this year during an interview on Port's YouTube channel.

3 Adam Senn

Adam Senn joined the series alongside his best friend, Jay Lyon. The two not only lived together but also owned a restaurant together in New York City, which made casting Senn an easy choice for MTV. While fans knew him as a model, the star went on to have quite a successful career in television.

Adam scored the role of Zero in the hit show, Hit The Floor, where he plays a bisexual pro basketball player. Since then, Adam has appeared in a number of shows including Wedding Wonderland, and Same Difference, to name a few.

2 Allie Crandell

Allie Crandell was a season one favorite, however, she didn't make the cut come the second season! Crandell was a model who just so happened to be dating Adam Senn at the time. Both she and Whitney Port managed to become quite close during their time filming together, however, after Allie and Adam broke up, the two departed from the show. Allie remains a model to this day and has transitioned over to social media and the fashion e-commerce industry, which has certainly paid off!

1 Tim Rosenman

While Tim Rosenman was not an actual cast member of The City, he was, in fact, a producer on the show. Although he was crafting drama behind the scenes, Tim appeared to have another challenge in mind, find a way to make Whitney Port fall in love with him. Tim and Whitney both developed feelings for one another during their time working with MTV!

The duo revealed all of this throughout both their The City and The Hills reaction videos on Whitney's Youtube Channel. Rosenman no longer works for the network, however, he holds a very special place in his heart as it is where he met Whitney, to begin with.
