The Pre-Show Ritual On 'That 70s Show'

In 1998, That 70s Show first aired and was an instant hit! Whether you were a fan of Donna, Eric, Fez, Michael, or Jackie, there was no denying just how much life the cast brought to the show. After 7 seasons, Topher Grace, who played Eric Forman, left the show, leading many to believe that a feud had ensued between him and the remainder of the cast. Fortunately, this didn't halt production by any means, allowing the series to go on for one more season.

Despite the end of the show, actor Wilmer Valderrama, who played the hilarious Fez, has assured fans that the cast is still very close! During an interview with Studio 10, Valderrama revealed that "we would laugh all day long and pretend to be actors," he said. In addition to being a tight-knit crew, Wilmer also admitted that the cast would perform a pre-show ritual before every single episode. Although pre-show rituals are common amongst many sitcom casts, including Friends, the meaning behind theirs definitely takes the cake!

As the cast grew closer and closer, they all developed a heartwarming pre-show ritual over the course of all 8 seasons. Before making their way in front of the live studio audience, the cast would gather together, put their hands in a circle and all choose a word that best represented the episode in which they were about to shoot. According to ABC, once they recited the word together, the huddle would break, and filming would start!

As if things couldn't get any better when it comes to the show, Wilmer Valderrama revealed that the cast has discussed possibly doing a reunion movie! Yes, you read that right, while a reboot series isn't likely to happen, the actor revealed that he and the cast would totally be up to recreating their on-screen magic in a possible movie. While fans might have to wait a while for that to come to fruition, we've still got 8 seasons of hilarity to enjoy in the time being.
