The Nanny was one of the most iconic sitcoms of the '90s. The series starred Fran Drescher as Fran Fine, a nanny who took care of three children in Manhattan. Daniel Davis experienced his career breakthrough when he played Niles on The Nanny. His television debut came when he was only 11 in a local broadcast program called Betty’s Little Rascals. After performing and teaching at the American Conservatory Theatre, Davis launched his career by playing Elliot Carrington on the show Texas, which aired from 1980 to 1981. Charles Shaughnessy played the role of Maxwell Sheffield on The Nanny. His character had a brilliant chemistry with Drescher's. So much so that the two ended up working together several times after the series ended. They both acted together in Living With Fran and Happily Divorced.
