11 '7th Heaven' Days

When you get your big break as a child actress on a series that lasts over 10 seasons, you're set for life. That is exactly what happened with Jessica Biel. Playing Mary Camden, the oldest Camden girl, on 7th Heaven, skyrocketed her career. Mary Camden was the sporty tomboy of the family. Biel played her from 1996 to 2002 as a regular character, then a recurring character in seasons 7, 8, and 10. She was bumped to a reoccurring role as a result of her rebelling a bit from being on a squeaky clean show. She was also attending college at Tufts University, which caused her to be absent from the show.

10 'I'll Be Home For Christmas'

Jessica Biel had starred in a few movies before I'll Be Home For Christmas, but this film was her major movie, where she played Allie Henderson, Jake Wilkinson's girlfriend. It was in 1998 while she was filming 7th Heaven and being a big Hollywood star. She was 16 at the time. This was her only role, besides 7th Heaven until 2001. She had the typical 1990s haircut and was considered a role model for young girls.

9 First Major Role

Via New Line Cinema

In 2004, Texas Chainsaw Massacre was her first major role and leading role. By then, at the age of 22, she had completely shed her childhood roots, growing out her hair, and establishing herself as a serious actress. Around this time, she had also starred in Summer Catch and The Rules of Attraction, not yet branching out to TV besides 7th Heaven. By this time, she had graduated from college and was now completely focused on her acting career. Although Massacre was met with negative reviews, it scored the number one in its opening week and racked in $80 million.

8 Short Hair And Rocking It

In 2006, Biel rocked short hair and a beautiful blue dress on a red carpet event. Just a year before this picture, Esquire named her "Sexiest Woman Alive," at only 23-years-old. Esquire editor-in-chief David Granger thought she was the perfect candidate for the title that year.

"It seemed like it would be great -- having named Angelina Jolie sexiest woman of the year last year -- to try to come up with somebody who was on everyone's radar screen, but who was also fresh. It just seemed like Jessica Biel's moment." During this time, Biel was starring in Stealth, Elizabethtown, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry.

7 Blonde Hair, Don't Care

In 2008, Jessica Biel completely changed her look when she walked the BAFTAs red carpet, sporting bleach blonde hair and a gorgeous black dress. Now, most of the time actresses only dye their hair when they're doing it for a role because they have to change into a certain character and this was exactly the case.

For her role in Easy Virtue, Biel needed to be blonde, but luckily could wear a short, bruntette wig for Hole In The Paper Sky. Throughout her life, she has never gone back to fully blonde, only having blonde highlights occasionally, but she can rock any color.
