Friends, that iconic symbol of the 1990's and beloved sitcom that is beloved across generations that can still make us laugh is finally getting a reboot for HBO Max.

Like most other shows and movies that were due to come out last year, the Friends reunion show was also delayed due to COVID-19, but that didn't get the original cast down.

Matthew Perry, who played the lovable and sarcastic Chandler Bing, was juiced, posting this to his twitter feed.

His five castmates, Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courteney Cox (Monica) and David Schwimmer (Ross), and even Cole Sprouse (Ben Geller) are all set to appear.

One important thing to note is that this isn't a reprisal of the Friends characters. It's an appearance by the cast to talk about the show, visit the set and share behind-the-scenes information with fans.

When it was obvious that the reunion would be delayed, Jennifer Aniston said, "It’s going to be super. You know what? This has also given us more time to make it even more sexciting and more fun than it would have been. So I choose to see it as the glass is half-full that it got postponed. Look, we’re not going anywhere. You’re never going to get rid of Friends, sorry. You’re stuck with us for life guys."

So whether you were bummed about the postponement the first time around or didn't even know a reunion was happening, HBO Max is giving every Friends fan what they've been asking for, literally, for years. So stay tuned, because as Aniston said, "It's going to be super."

The Friends Reunion special is scheduled to start taping in March of this year.
