Bill Burr's controversial SNL monologue was forgiven after his character in The Mandalorian season 2 redeemed himself.

An ex-Imperial sharpshooter, Mayfeld (Burr) became a mercenary after the fall of the Galactic empire. He first appeared in chapter 6 of The Mandalorian, and the tension between him and Mando was visible (even with Din Djarin wearing a helmet) from their very first conversation.

Although Mayfeld betrayed Mando and was imprisoned for it, season 2 follows his release from the New Republic prison. He leads the gang on a dangerous mission in the Imperial base, and his efforts help the gang rescue Grogu from Moff Gideon's cruiser. His character redeemed himself, becoming an immediate fan-favourite.

Comedian Bill Burr is a talented actor who portrayed Migs Mayfeld to the T, but we've discovered that his Wookie impression is just as impressive!

A Comedian At Heart

Bill Burr joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show to defend his character Mayfeld's striking Boston accent. He also did a hilarious Wookie impression!

When Fallon brought to Burr's notice that some fans of the show had been wondering why Mayfeld had a Boston accent, the actor-comedian had some insight to share!

He even brought back old Star Wars references to support his case, and ranted about the galaxy's most annoying droid C-3PO, and his uncanny English accent.

He shared, "'I've never heard a Boston accent in outer space' is what they say. And I always just go like, 'Oh, yeah? What about English?'"

He continued: "What about the fact that Han Solo is talking to a Bigfoot? He's speaking Bigfoot, Han Solo's speaking English, they never break character, but one keeps going..." Burr broke into an impromptu impression of Chewbacca, and nailed it!

"How about C-3PO with an English accent- that was okay? The guy's been knighted, huh?"

"F-those nerdy, nit-picking nerds," he shared in his defense.

The comedian's fans couldn't get over his Chewie and Han Solo impression, and flooded the comments section with praise.

"Han Solo and chewey reference was spot on!"

"Honestly bill burr is one of my absolute favorite casting choices for the mandalorian he just fits so well!"

"Bill Burr tells it like it is. What a funny and bold talent."

A funny and bold talent indeed!
