Even during her busy workdays on-set, Rebel Wilson finds 90-minutes prior to the shoot and she heads to the gym for a workout. We've seen this formula before with the likes of Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg, who are up during the early hours of the morning, breaking a sweat and starting the day off right.

Unlike Dwayne and Mark who had this infused at a young age, Wilson struggled to start a set routine and adopt clean eating habits. It took a specific moment to spark a change in the talented actress.

We'll take a look at what the moment was, along with the little changes she made to her lifestyle along the way. Her journey is an inspirational one and it proves that it really is never too late when it comes to making a change for the better, no matter how hard or of a struggle, it might seem to be at the start.

She Tried To Lose The Weight Several Times Before

Like so many others, Rebel Wilson had tried several diets beforehand, though none really seemed to stick. She'd make short-term progress but ultimately, it was back to the same routines.

When embarking on a healthy lifestyle, the name of the game is longevity and finding a sustainable way to pursue a long-term diet, Wilson would eventually find that perfect routine and a lot of it had to do with mindful eating.

According to the celeb, taking your time while eating and stopping when feeling full is a very important element that goes unnoticed. This was a big change as she admitted in the past, she would eat a bag of chips without even noticing. She also stated that eating through your emotions was another big part of her weight gain, again only to be fixed.

Most of all, it takes a commitment and strong drive. There is a particular moment where this all took shape for the actress. She ended up writing a letter to herself and making a promise to change, as it turns out, that letter was the driving force that sparked a terrific transformation.

Deciding To Freeze Her Eggs In Early 2020 Was The Turning Point

There were two main driving factors that sparked the change. For one, Wilson wanted to freeze her eggs and in doing so, she acknowledged that the eggs needed to be as healthy as possible. In order to follow through on her promise, Rebel wrote herself a letter at the start of 2020.

"When 2020 rolled around, I wrote myself a letter and said I will give it my all, then I did."

It all worked out in the end and a great lesson to be learned here, it is never too late to make a change. Wilson does admit she wishes the changes would've been implicated sooner, though she is still very grateful for deciding to make a change, in her view, during her later years.

"It’s never too late to improve yourself - to improve your health, your heart, your happiness, your harmony. For everyone out there just trying to be a lil bit better this week: go for it! Every bit counts. Every effort is worth it. You’re worth it."

Now the journey to get there wasn't easy, however, she made basic changes here and there which in turn, would lead to healthy habits on the daily.

Basic Changes Made The Difference

It is all about the small changes, making a drastic shift is never the way to go, this can lead to an uphill battle. For Wilson, it was all about gradual change.

"What I learned is it's really the little things that I do every day that make a difference…Anyone can go on walks and drink more water and do little, consistent things that'll improve their lives. It's not too late to start, no matter what age you are."

Key changes were made along the way. According to Eat Well, sleep and water intake we're a couple of crucial factors. Wilson stated that she always stays hydrated throughout the day.

In addition, her sugar intake was very high once upon a time, making this adjustment and being mindful of sugary foods also went a very long way.

Finally, activity level is crucial. Wilson isn't lifting 200-pound barbells over her head. Instead, she's trying to keep as active as possible, especially when it comes to walks and hikes. She finds this practice to be very therapeutic and something she values.

"I never realized how much I liked hiking and getting out in nature. There's nothing better than filling your lungs with fresh air."

A tremendous transformation and one we can all learn from.
