In 2009, Megan Fox revealed what happened behind the scenes. She tells Wonderland Magazine, "He's like Napoleon and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad man reputation."

"He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it's endearing to watch him. He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant."

The actress sort of ignited the fire with her comments that drew a conflict between her and the renowned director. The crew of the film had some choice words about her after her Wonderland magazine interview was published. The film crew published an open letter on Michael Bay's website to address the issue.

How Megan Fox Behaved On The Set According To The Transformer's Crew

The crew published the open letter through the news blogs on Michael Bay's site. These are not the only mean comments Megan Fox received on her Transformers stint, but the crew shared what she's like on set. The Transformers film crew started the letter stating, "We are three crew members that have worked with Michael for the past ten years. Last week we read the terrible article with inflammatory, truly trashing quotes by the Ms. Fox about Michael Bay."

They went on to add, "Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses’ life. He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth."

The crew further added, "We work to make her look good in every way, but she’s absolutely never appreciative of anyone’s hard work. Never a thank you."

"All the crew members have stopped saying hi to Ms. Princess because she never says hello back. It gets tiring. Many think she just really hates the process of being an actress. Megan has been late to the sets many times. She goes through the motions that make her exude this sense of misery."

Few months after the open letter was published, the actress had an interview with The New York Times and she addressed the open letter.

She said, "I got myself in this whole mess, but it doesn't matter. I know that the things they said about me in the crew letter were not true, but Bay is not happy with some of the things I've said about him. I was waiting for someone to defend me, to say, 'That's not accurate,' but nobody did. I think it's because I'm a girl. They left me out there to be bludgeoned to death."

Although the feud seemed to have involved Megan Fox and director of the film Michael Bay, the director was not the one who decided to fire the actress. It was revealed that it was Steven Spielberg who decided her services are no longer needed.

On Michael Bay's interview for GQ in 2011, he said that it was Transformers' executive producer Steven Spielberg who ultimately decided that the actress needs to go. Bay told GQ “You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now.”

Despite Bay's claims that Fox was fired, the actress' representatives maintained that it was Megan Fox who decided not to return to the film franchise since she does not want to do more Transformers movies.

The third installment of the film titled Transformers: Dark of the Moon went on to become a commercially successful film with over $1 billion earnings at the box office. At the end of the second film Revenge of The Fallen, Megan Fox's character professed her love for Sam. However, Megan Fox was replaced by Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley as Sam's new love interest on the third film.
