The Braxton sisters have shared their private affairs with the world ever since making their reality television debut on WeTV’s Braxton Family Values in 2011 — and to nobody’s surprise, the show has become one of the network’s most popular showings.

But over the years, and with seven seasons under their belt, the Braxtons have shown clear signs that their stint on reality TV could soon be coming to an end, particularly after Tamar Braxton came forward and publicly shunned her family for exploiting her suicide attempt for ratings.

This isn’t the first time that the Braxtons have feuded with one another, but following a string of public meltdowns and chaotic relationship affairs, Tamar, who was infamously fired from The Real, has made it clear that her priorities have shifted from reality television and she wants out.

Why Does Tamar Braxton Dislike Her Sisters?

Tamar was furious to see footage of the family discussing her suicide attempt in a teaser clip from an upcoming episode of the show — she didn’t think they would have wanted to touch on such a subject, especially since it hadn’t even been more than a month when filming commenced.

In the WeTV clip, the Braxton family are seen sharing their reactions to the news of Tamar’s shock hospitalization, but according to Tamar, her siblings clearly staged the scene.

Cameras were most likely not rolling when the news actually broke, but for the sake of their TV show, they recreated it by giving fake reactions, Tamar alleged in a series of lengthy rants on Twitter.

In one of her tweets, the “Love & War” vocalist also took aim at the network for exploiting her situation, stressing that she refuses to do any work with the firm ever again.

“After waking up to that disgusting trailer…F-CK @wetv and whomever else participating for using my pain for their pleasure and ratings don’t miss my exclusive TELL ALL on my girl @tamronhallshow next week..at some point this abuse HAS to STOP.”

Tamar also noted that she hadn’t worked with WETV since the end of 2019, and while she’s already distanced herself from the show, she still finds herself the topic of discussion not only by her family members but also from executives for the show.

She added: “And just to clarify… I’m not shooting for bfv or any other show for wetv since December of LAST YEAR why are they talking about me?? Wtf??”

In the midst of Tamar’s public breakdown after seeing the teaser clip for Braxton Family Values, even fans were stunned that the family would go to such lengths to entertain viewers, by staging their reactions to the singer’s near-death experience.

One fan took to Twitter and vented, saying: “Wait!!!!! WeTv was recording BFV when Tamar was going through it and they still used it for ratings after she voiced her issues with them? This is crazy because I just saw it and WOW!”

In response to his tweet, Tamar responded: “No pumpkin they wasn’t. it’s ALL re staged for tv. And that’s my fckn issue. Remember @wetv said we have parted ways in August. I am no longer employed by them and they are STILL using me and my hurt to make a coin. What show talks about old cast members?”

In the midst of the drama unfolding on social media, Tamar had also taken the time to unfollow all of her sisters from her Instagram handle, including Towanda and Toni Braxton.

Even the latter was unfollowed, which seemed to surprise a lot of fans given how they’d always been very close with one another.

In October 2020, the “I Love You” vocalist appeared on the Tamron Hall Show, where she opened up about her suicide attempt over the summer, which Tamar says was partially caused by her ongoing feud with WeTV.

"I already felt dead. I felt choked. It was about feeling like I could never be myself and being misunderstood and having the stigma of the angry Black woman all the time.”

"And that's not who I am. That's not what I wanted to portray. It wasn't just about being an angry Black woman, it was about real issues coming up on the show.”

According to Entertainment Tonight, the Braxton family has received quite a lot of backlash for the recent tease clip, and with their feud involving Tamar, they are considering ending the show for good.

For right now, the family remains on board, but that could all change if things remain this bad between them.
