The Rock Bought His Pops A New Cadillac

The Rock just bought his dad a brand new Caddy.

It pays to have a former wrestler-turned Hollywood actor for a son. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently posted an update to his Instagram that showed his father standing beside a brand new Cadillac Escalade-- his new wheels.

“My pops just had his hip replaced and called me and said ‘Hey Mr. D the surgeon really feels like I should have a bigger car since my hip rehab,’” wrote the Rock on the post, and revealing that even his own father calls him “mister”.

“I cut my dad off and just started laughing because I knew what he was hustling for.”

What was he hustling for, you ask? A brand new 2018 Cadillac Escalade SUV. This baby is the largest vehicle the American carmaker produces, with an overall length of over 200 inches and 45.3 inches of front legroom. That should be more than enough to ensure dad’s hip doesn’t have any problems.

Of course, with 420 horsepower from the 6.2-L V8 engine, he may very well break his other hip in an automotive way.

Dwayne apparently wrote his dad a blank check when it came to his new wheels. “I said ‘say no more.. I got you.. just go down and pick out what you want’,” wrote Johnson. “Then we hung up and hours later I get this pic. Lol.”

Dad looks pretty proud next to his shiny new Caddy, and is surely just as proud of his wildly successful son. Dwayne gives his dad credit for much of his success, saying “my old man was a tough MF on me.”

“He’d kick my ass from one side of the gym to the other for years. I hated it when I was a kid, but grateful for it as a man. I’m lucky I could do this and thanks for the ass kickins.”

He then thanks the Cadillac dealer who made the super quick sale, although really, it should be the dealer that’s thanking The Rock for the super easy sale.
