When Blake Shelton appeared on the show in 2017, he was not keen on Jimmy Fallon‘s humor. Jimmy Fallon jokingly made fun of Blake Shelton‘s southern accent and made jokes about southern stereotypes. On July 20, 2006, Colin Farrell appeared on an episode of the Tonight Show and was interviewed by Jay Leno. At one point in time during his interview, his stalker was able to get through security and walk on stage! Her name is Desiree Bradford and she had already been harassing him before this particular evening. The cameras are rolling and caught everything as she made her way on stage and threw a book on Jay Leno‘s desk. Colin Farrell requested a restraining order against the woman.
7 Pete Davidson
Pete Davidson appeared on the Tonight Show in 2018 spending quite a bit of the interview discussing things that were cringe-worthy. Instead of talking more about his upcoming projects or broken engagement with Ariana Grande, he spewed out a lot of profanity and continually kept dropping passwords.
Jimmy Fallon appeared to be uncomfortable but Pete Davidson didn’t really slow down. Ultimately, the awkwardness ended up being funny enough for Pete Davidson to receive invitations back to the show in the future.
6 Bobcat Goldthwait
During his interview with Jay Leno, Bobcat Goldthwait decided that the best way for him to make a statement was to set his guest chair on fire. This all took place on May 9 of 1994. He was extremely angry about the cancellation of the Arsenio hall show and decided to retaliate by setting the chair on fire. He ended up having to make several public service announcements about fire safety and he was fined $3000 to replace the chair that he damaged.
5 Heidi Klum
On October 14, 2003, Heidi Klum appeared on an episode of the Tonight Show with Martin short. The outfit she was wearing was extremely expensive… She had on a diamond-studded undergarment that was worth $11 million! One of the diamond studs came undone while the cameras were rolling and she was live on the air. She Immediately noticed her wardrobe malfunction and tried to hold onto her shirt to hide anything from being exposed. Jay Leno and Martin short held up their suit jackets in front of her so that she could readjust her undergarment.
4 Cardi B
Cardi B and Jimmy Fallon didn’t know how to match each other's vibe or energy during her time on the show. She visited the show in 2017 making the hilarious noises that she always makes but Jimmy Fallon did not know how to respond to any of her sounds.
After she responded to one of his questions with one of her signature noises, Jimmy Fallon sat there in utter silence and took a sip of his water. Cardi B continued to be herself while Jimmy Fallon struggled to keep up.

In 2017, Louis CK appeared on the Tonight Show to be interviewed by Jimmy Fallon. (This interview happened before five women accused him of sexual misconduct.) Louis CK revealed to Jimmy Fallon that he loved napping and Jimmy Fallon asked him if he preferred napping better than sleep. Instead of laughing off the sarcastic joke, Louis CK proceeded to tell Jimmy Fallon how stupid he was and what a dumb thing he just said. He went on about that for quite a while. Awkward.
2 Shawn Mendes
Shawn Mendes appeared on the show to be interviewed by Jimmy Fallon in 2016. While Shawn Mendes was there, he referred to Jimmy Fallon as his grandfather as a way of insulting Fallon’s age. Unfortunately, no one in the audience thought the joke was funny and the entire room fell completely silent. Jimmy Fallon didn’t react and neither did anyone in the audience. It was extremely cringe-worthy and uncomfortable.
1 Donald Trump
In 2016, when Donald Trump was still running for President of the United States, Donald Trump appeared on an episode of the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. At the end of the interview, Jimmy Fallon playfully messed with Trump’s hair... and the world did not react well. Jimmy Fallon lost 21% of his viewers because they were furious! He ended up apologizing about the whole situation.
