Charlie Sheen has been tabloid fodder since his career began. What is interesting is that regardless of what Sheen does, he and his career always seem to bounce back from it. Be it drug abuse, erratic behavior on set, outrages published by the press, and even domestic abuse allegations, Sheen always seems to land on his feet. Many believe it has to do with the fact that Sheen's bad-boy image has helped rather than hindered him in this regard.

Given that Sheen has always had this persona, his behavior, good or bad, does not surprise anyone. This includes Sheen's choices of partners and the high-profile relationships he has pursued. The first high-profile relationship that Sheen was involved in was with Donna Peele. The two eventually married, with Peele becoming Sheen's first wife. They weren’t together for very long, but they certainly did a lot while they were together.

Peele has since been a bit of a mystery. A high-profile romance (and marriage, and divorce) is supposed to be a launching point for any semi-famous celebrity’s ongoing visibility. Peele's life did not follow this course, though. Here's what happened to Donna Peele.

How Charlie Sheen And Donna Peele Met

Sheen and Peele met when Peele, was a young, up-and-coming model.

"The two met in New York during the shoot of an advertising campaign for a cigarette brand in July 1995. The attraction was instant and the two started dating immediately...Charlie and Donna got married on September 3, 1995, merely six weeks after their first meeting."

Peele was quite young when the two married, being only 25 years old at the time. Not only was she a popular model but she was with one of the biggest stars of the 1990s. As such, her career looked like it would skyrocket.

Unfortunately, the marriage would not last. Less than two months after saying, "I do," the honeymoon was over.

Why Charlie Sheen And Donna Peele Divorced

Five months after Sheen and Peele got married, Sheen filed for divorce. Initially, Sheen described the dissolution of the divorce as something that was caused because he felt suffocated. He also went on to publicly compare Peele to a broken-down car.

It was not until years later that Sheen explained what caused him to divorce Peele. Someone he fell so hard for so fast.

"There was a voice," Sheen explained. "Not like drug-induced voices, but there was a voice that kept telling me this will not work."

It is worth noting that at the time that Sheen got married to Peele, he was the only celebrity named in the Heidi Fleiss scandal. As such, rumors abounded that he married Peele and called himself a "born-again Christian" to win the court of public appeal and save his career.

After the divorce, Sheen went on to date and marry several other women. Sheen also had an incredibly successful career until he caused it to implode in 2011 when he was fired from Two and a Half Men.

Peele, however, retreated from the limelight, never to be heard from in Hollywood again.

Where Donna Peele Is Today

After the divorce, Peele all but left her career in the entertainment industry behind. Peele no longer tried to book modeling gigs or land acting jobs. By all accounts, Peele simply disappeared.

Since the divorce, there have been two instances in which Peele has been seen on the small screen. That was in E! True Hollywood Story: Charlie Sheen and Charlie Sheen: Bad Boy on the Ledge. However, in the 2010 and 2011 shows, Peele did not make an appearance. It was instead archival footage from the time that she and Sheen were together that was included. Whether she was asked to appear is unknown.

Today, the whereabouts of Peele are not known.

During their short time together, Sheen and Peele did not have any children. This would have kept Peele in the spotlight, just like it has with Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards. Both of which do not shy away from the limelight.

Peele has also made the choice not to be on social media. Because of this, it is impossible to know where Peele is living, what her net worth is, or what she has done with her life since the mid-1990s.

Further still, at the time of the relationship with Sheen, nothing was known about Peele's family. As such, any ability to track down Peele via her parents or any siblings leads to only an exercise in frustration.

Peele has managed to do the impossible after once becoming one of the most notable names in Hollywood. She disappeared. There have been no scandals to note, no messy relationships after Sheen, and no attempts to remain in the entertainment industry.

However, by disappearing, Peele has also been able to live the majority of her life out of the spotlight. Her name is not dragged in the mud when Sheen's name is mentioned. Peele is very rarely even mentioned as being one of Sheen's ex-wives. As such, Peele has been able to put a part of her early life behind her and live her adult life in the fashion she desires.
