While his condition can seem trivial to those who are visiting the dentist, but for dental phobia sufferer NBA star Lamar Odom, his fear can feel just as real as someone who has fear of heights. But what really is the truth about his supposed bad breath? What did Kim Kardashian discover about it?

Kim Kardashian Smells Lamar Odom’s Cavity

Kim has a nose for cavities. She has reaffirmed that she is able to smell rotting teeth, and even shares that she has the ability to do it with “everyone.” When asked in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar about her hidden talent, the reality star replied, “I can smell when someone has a cavity. It’s a very specific smell – not a bad-breath smell – something that is really strong.”

Confident in her own special sniffing ability, the American TV personality showcased her peculiar sixth sense during a 2012 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when told Khloe that she could sniff out her sister’s then-husband Lamar Odom’s cavity. Although Khloe just laughed it off, Kim was serious about it. She said in the episode, “No I could smell it…my sixth sense is coming. I almost throw up in my mouth every time I hug him.”

Kim Kardashian’s Sixth Sense

She tweeted, “I have a really odd talent. I can smell when someone has cavities! I have never been wrong yet! They don’t even have 2 be super close by me…I can smell by having one conversation with someone! Sooo weird huh!”

Then in 2010, her special power did not fail her as she tweeted, “Someone has a cavity in the car I’m in. I can smell it.” That being said, fans commended Kim for her willingness to call someone out for their poor dental hygiene.

Lamar Odom’s On The Kardashian Curse

While Lamar’s dental problem became the talk of the town when Kim opened about in the reality TV show, the NBA star did not mind it as he defended them. Asked whether he believed in the “Kardashian Curse,” he responded, “That’s stupidity because everyone goes s—t. If I had your family on tape, and see all the s—t your family was going through, people would be like, “This family is crazy!”

Lamar went on to reveal that the Kardashians are very transparent and real with how much of their personal lives they share with the world as if nothing is off-limits. “People would see all the drug addicts, all the sex, they share their life with you, so you see everything,” he said. “Maybe it’s overexposed, but people love it. The people that made them are the ones who point the fingers. It’s kind of sickening. I’ve lived it from the inside in, to the outside.”
