Charlie Sheen has been involved in a wide range of scandals throughout his career — his well-documented substance abuse issues, ex-wife Denise Richards' restraining order against him, multiple lawsuits from adult stars, public disclosure of his HIV diagnosis in 2015 followed by even more lawsuits, and getting fired from Two and a Half Men, to name a few. But aside from this series of major controversies, the Platoon star also has a thing for petty feuds with female celebrities. This includes a Twitter spat in 2014 with Rihanna.

He's also clashed with his Two and a Half Men love interest, Jenny McCarthy, and Ferrie Bueller's Day Off co-star, Jennifer Grey. Sheen doesn't seem to get along well with all his female co-workers. But perhaps the most explosive of them all was the Major League star's dispute with his Anger Management co-star, Selma Blair. Reports said that the two didn't get along on set, leading to the exit of the Cruel Intention actress from the show. Here's what really happened back there.

Charlie Sheen Fired Selma Blair From 'Anger Management'

In 2013, Charlie Sheen fired Selma Blair from Anger Management himself. The actor sent The Sweetest Thing star a profane text message calling her a "c---" among many other derogatory terms. Sheen was actually an executive producer in the series. In case you're wondering why he was that upset, he simply didn't like Blair's understandable complaints about his behavior at work. TMZ famously revealed that the controversial actor had told the producers he would quit if they refused to remove the actress from the show.

All Selma Blair did, really, was voice out every other cast member's concern about Sheen's constant tardiness and questionable work ethic. The Anger Management cast and crew would apparently sit for hours on end waiting for the actor to show up for work. The Wall Street star has a notorious reputation for carrying some sort of delinquent pride when it comes to such misconducts. So he reportedly flew off the handle and got rid of Blair as fast as he could. Blair's role as the therapist and possible interest of Sheen's character was replaced by a new female lead role, tweaking the show yet again due to its plunging ratings.

Selma Blair Nearly Sued Charlie Sheen For $1.2 Million

Due to her forced exit from the show, Selma Blair threatened to sue Charlie Sheen and the show's production company for $1.2 million — the amount she would have made had she remained on the show. Fans were shocked that the established actress thought of making that move. The Hot Shots! actor argued that the plan to replace Blair was in the works prior to their altercation. Sheen told Jay Leno, "Selma Blair ... was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship."

He continued, "The problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thought the Anger Management character was a little dull." No official lawsuit was filed by Blair's camp. The issue eventually died down silently with neither party speaking further about the matter. The show was canceled in 2014. They were forced to wrap it up after 100 episodes due to Sheen's HIV symptoms — not laryngitis as initially revealed at that time.

Selma Blair And Charlie Sheen's Relationship Today

Unlike Rihanna who got a cringe-worthy Instagram apology from Charlie Sheen in 2017, Blair didn't get any public acknowledgment of that sort. Well, maybe except for the time when he dropped by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen in the same year. The Arrival actor was in a game of "Plead the Fifth" and was asked to rank his female co-stars, Selma Blair, Lindsay Lohan, Jenny McCarthy, and Heather Locklear from favorite to least favorite to work with.

Sheen made it clear that Locklear, his Spin City love interest, was his only favorite. "Heather, and then Heather," he jokingly ranked. He continued, saying "Lindsay's a trip. She's work, but she's cool. She's fun to look at." But regarding McCarthy and Blair, he said, "I would like to kind of mash those two up together and just kick 'em to the curb, they deserve each other."

We're guessing he still hasn't forgiven Blair although it seems like she's completely moved on from the whole drama. The actress continued to work on films and TV series following her exit from Anger Management. She famously played the role of Kris Jenner in the 2016 FX mini-series, American Crime Story: The People vs. O. J. Simpson. In 2018, Blair courageously shared her battle with multiple sclerosis.
