Tom Cruise is easily one of the biggest names in Hollywood! The actor has certainly ruffled a lot of feathers during his time in th limelight, which includes his rather strange Oprah Winfrey interview, involvement within Scientology, and of course, his not one, but two very public divorces from both Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes.

While he is known for making headlines surrounding his many scandals, Tom Cruise is also known for causing a stir when it comes to the work he's had done on his face. Many fans believe the actor has had plastic surgery, sparking the question, 'Did Tom Cruise get a nose job?'

Actors in Hollywood are no strangers to plastic surgery! Most recently, Zac Efron sparked concern following a change in his appearance, and fans have also had similar questions regarding Tom. So, did the Mission Impossible actor go under the knife? Let's find out!

Updated on September 1, 2021, by Michael Chaar: In 2012, Tom Cruise sparked plastic surgery rumors, which is quite common within Hollywood. Despite denying any claims, even though fellow actor Cuba Gooding Jr. made it clear Tom "absolutely" got work done, the rumors only grew following his appearance at the 2016 BAFTA awards. Tom remains adamant about not having had his nose done, going as far as telling Playboy Magazine that he's not gone under the knife and "never will". Well, the rumors have since died down, especially now that Tom is set to appear in the upcoming film, Top Gun: Maverick alongside Val Kilmer, who Tom demanded to have been part of the film.

Tom Cruise Sparks Plastic Surgery Rumors

Cruise may have sparked plastic surgery rumors before 2016, but that year, in particular, it really became obvious to fans that he must have had something done, and considering his status in the industry, we wouldn't put it past him.

After he appeared at the 2016 BAFTAs, fans were surprised by how the Mission: Impossible actor looked on the red carpet. They took to social media to comment about how "inflated" and "puffy" he looked, which is a common sign of both botox and fillers. This was enough confirmation for fans who'd been convinced he'd had work done for a while, despite the actor claiming he only goes au naturel.

One fan wrote on Twitter, "Looks like Tom Cruise has just been on a Mission Impossible type mission to steal all the world’s botox supply for his face." Another user added, "Just seen tom cruise at the baftas. Oh dear tom what have you done to your face ?? It was like a hamster in a tuxedo!!" they wrote.

Tom Cruise "Absolutely" Got Work Done

This wasn't the first time we'd heard rumors of Cruise getting work done. That same year, Cuba Gooding Jr. made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! and said he has suspicions that the actor had had plastic surgery.

"I don’t know what he’s had done, but I remember I surprised him at his house one day and he had all of these dots all over his face and I was like, 'You all right?' and he goes, 'I didn’t know you were coming' and I was like, 'I can see why,'" Gooding Jr. said.

Cruise has denied these rumors as far back as 2012. After being asked whether or not he's had cosmetic surgery, he told Playboy magazine, "I haven’t, and I never would."

According to the National Enquirer (as expected), he's lying. "Insiders say the gifted star remains desperate to maintain his boyish good looks and stay atop of the heap as he approaches his sixties — with the help of plastic surgery!" Others claim he's had hair transplants and a couple of nose jobs, however, Tom remains firm when it comes to him denying having had any work done.

His Return To 'Top Gun'

While he remains adamant about not having had any plastic surgery, there is one thing that Tom will always admit to, his love for acting! The actor recently made headlines regarding his return to his breakthrough role in Top Gun. The newest film, Top Gun: Maverick, is set to premiere this November, however, Tom Cruise made it clear he'd only return under one condition.

The condition stands as he'd require botox and fillers on set...kidding! The actor made it clear he'd only return to the series if Val Kilmer were to star in the movie as well, and behold, what Tom Cruise wants, Tom Cruise gets!
