It might've been the most dramatic weight loss in Hollywood. Adele dropped over 100 pounds total! Her transformation photo on IG had everyone talking, of course, fans were skeptical at first, but it was all true, she shed all of that weight. Her trainer took to IG, crediting Adele's transformation on her desire to make a change, "It just goes to show you that when you put your mind to something, commit to it, believe in the process and above all else you do it for yourself, great results occur. Everyone is capable of achieving their definition of health and well-being. It varies from person to person but it doesn’t make it any less significant. If you want to live a healthier life, do not let anyone tell you that you can’t or persuade you otherwise."

Although that all sounds great, there were some questionable tactics used on her way to the transformation. For one, her caloric intake on an average day wasn't very high, a lot of fans questioned the sustainability of her diet. We'll take a look at everything she was doing both outside and inside the gym, on the road to her remarkable 100+ pound transformation.

Jut Over 1,000 Calories

In order for the diet to work, Adele needed to give up on some bad habits, such as soft drinks, which tend to be empty calories, along with high sugar foods. This was a big step in the right direction. When it comes to the structure of her diet, she was following the "Sirtfood Diet." This type of meal plan consists of foods specifically rich in sirtuin. So her plan was filled with kale, blueberries, apples, strawberries, and a few other clean sources. In terms of grains, it wasn't anything fancy, buckwheat was among her few options. In total, her calories were just above 1,000.

Skeptics might say that's way too low and not sustainable, especially when you also factor in the food choices she had to make, which were strictly foods rich in sirtuin. In all likelihood, once she reached her ideal weight, Adele upped her calories and used a maintenance form of caloric intake, one that is far more sustainable.

Workouts Were To The Point

In the gym, things were to the point, Adele had three sessions a week of an hour-long, given her hectic schedule. She isn't the biggest fan of training, though ultimately her biggest goal was to improve her stamina, given her hectic lifestyle and wanting to have more energy as a mother as well. Adele wasn't pressing barbells loaded with weights, she used a method that catered to both cardio and a pilates style, which also improved her mobility and flexibility.

Ultimately, the goal of her entire transformation wasn't to look different but instead, to improve her overall health game.
