Do the judges on The Voice actually enjoy being on the show? Some of the judges really do! A few of them aren’t big fans of the show and have decided to part ways. The judges on the voice aren’t just typical judges…they actually work with the singers that want to work with them until the very end.

They get invested in singers on their team and hopeful that the singers that they are working with end up winning by the end of the show! The judges of The Voice have spoken up quite a bit about their experiences.

Adam Levine parted ways with The Voice and discussed how he felt about that with Ellen Degeneres. He said, "I really do miss it. I love the people that I met and worked with, and you all obviously know how I feel about [fellow coach] Blake [Shelton].… I do miss it but I don't miss how much I had to work." Now, he gets to be a stay at home dad to focus on his kids without all the stress of being a judge.

Alicia Keys learned a lot while being a judge on The Voice. She said, "What I just continue to remember is that we all have the ability for greatness and all we have to do is believe it, and want it, and know that we deserve it. And then, we can do it."

She continued, "Anything. Really, just that simple and just that hard. So if there's anything that I've been reminded of, and just talked about and shared, it's a success." Her time on the show really opened her eyes to the fact that every single person alive has the capability to reach success.

Winning the competition is important to Gwen Stefani. After all, on The Voice judges are able to win along with their chosen singer. She said, "At the end of the day, I want to win too! You know, I’m not actually super competitive but when it comes to people’s dreams, you get really attached.” Competitive nature can easily come out of just about anyone, regardless of who they are when it comes to a talent competition like The Voice.

Miley Cyrus is an actress and singer-- the whole world knows that. She is also an advocate for the end of homelessness for at-risk LGBTQ youth. She started an organization called Happy Hippie which is dedicated to helping the group of teens who need it the most. She revealed, “I am only doing The Voice because that helps Happy Hippie.” (Variety.) Her reason to be a judge on the show obviously has a bigger purpose attached to it.

5 Kelly Clarkson

Before getting started as a judge on The Voice, Kelly Clarkson was super excited. She said, "I've been in talks with The Voice about doing stuff for years. It's a family decision too, for us. Like, my husband [Brandon Blackstock] manages Blake [Shelton] so we're all in one place and it's going to be good. And I'm excited, ya'll." She took a family decision and ran with it!

Shakira spent time as a judge alongside a bunch of men! She started judging in the fourth season alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Usher. She revealed, “They complain that I play the lady card, but it’s not a gimmick — I am a lady! I’m not getting any advice from those guys!” As a female judge, she knew she needed to speak up about her perspective on the panel amongst the guys.

3 Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera was a judge on The Voice between 2011 and 2016. She decided to part ways with the show and admitted that she has no interest in returning. She said, “It became something that I didn't feel was what I had signed up for in season one. You realize it’s not about music. It’s about making good TV moments and massaging a story." Her review of her time on the show isn't too great, unfortunately.

When asked about his favorite part of The Voice, John Legend said, “[The blind auditons] are the most popular part of the show because people love the excitement of being moved by a voice and turning for that person, no matter what they look like or what they’re wearing."

He continued, "There’s nothing visual to guide you and you’re only listening with your ears — it’s a very powerful moment.” The blind auditions are the most enjoyable part of the show because the judges have no idea who they will see before turning around.

Nick Jonas playfully threatened his co-judges on The Voice when he said, "I've been living and breathing The Voice since season 18. I've honed my skills. Channel your inner champion. Make Blake cry. Little do these coaches know I've grown stronger by the day. The newbie has now become the master." (Billboard.) Nick was a fun addition to the judging panel so it's wonderful that he will be returning.
