The 64th annual Grammy Awards which was last April 3, 2022 has featured lot firsts, some sweeps but there are a handful of snubs. Although majority of the awards have been announced even before the telecast, there is no single performer who dominated the awards unlike when Taylor Swift dominated the Grammys. There are a few surprises in this year’s Grammys including when Michelle Obama won a Grammy Award.

Although the Grammys has recognized a lot of amazing talents and artists in Hollywood, there are a handful of amazing talents who were snubbed by the award giving body. 6 The OG Gangsta Snoop Dogg

Although Snoop Dogg has been nominated for the Grammys seventeen times, he has never had the chance to win the award. The singer behind the songs Drop It Like It's Hot and Young, Wild & Free was first nominated in 1993 and is currently still waiting for his. With or without a Grammy Award, life goes on for the rapper as Snoop Dogg currently has a new show airing on Peacock.

5 'American Idol' Judge Katy Perry

American singer, songwriter, actress and television personality Katy Perry has yet to win the most coveted award for artists in Hollywood. Although she has been nominated thirteen times over the course of her career, she is yet to win the award. The singer is known for her music’s influence on the sound and style of pop on the 2010s era. With Katy Perry’s decade worth of work, Katy believes that the numbers do not lie, and it is what it is. She thinks that everyone has an opinion and although the judges may not see her songs worth winning, she believes that the numbers reflect her skills as a singer.

4 The Iconic Performer Diana Ross

Surprisingly, the legendary singer Diana Ross has never taken home the Grammy Award despite being nominated twelve times. She has been nominated almost every year from the year 1970 until 1983 however she has never won the award. Diana Ross rose to fame as lead singer of The Supremes which is a vocal group during the 1960s. They became the most successful act in Motown during the 1960s and has become the world's best-selling girl groups of all time. Although she has never won a Grammy Award, her contributions to the music industry has been recognized when she was given the lifetime achievement award in 2012.

3 Trinidadian Rapper Nicki Minaj

Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty who is popularly known as Nicki Minaj is also yet to win her first ever Grammy Award despite being nominated ten times over the course of her career. The iconic rapper is noted for her versatility as an artist and the animated flow of rapping which gives a unique vibe to her music. Although she is widely considered as one of the greatest female rappers of all-time by the critics, Grammy seems to not recognize that as she never took home the award. There are 73 songs in total that Sia wrote for other artists.

American singer Blake Shelton has been nominated on the Grammys for eight times during the span of his career but still had no luck winning the award. His most recent loss was on the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. He lost to Willie Nelson for the category of best country solo performance in 2020. Blake Shelton can be considered among the biggest country music stars in his generation and has amassed millions of wealth through his record-breaking songs. He is among the fan favorite on the popular singing competition show The Voice. He does not seem to mind not winning a Grammy as he seems to be having the best time of his life having a lovable family as Blake becomes the father figure to Gwen’s kids.
