Married At First Sight has seen its fair share of failed marriages that led to divorce, revealing how low the success rate of finding love through dating shows. However, many wonder why there are still individuals who willingly want to grab the offer even if the odds are slim. To know the reason why couples eventually broke up after the show, read the list from Season 1 to Season 5!

Vaughn Copeland And Monet Bell  and Jason Carrion and Cortney Hendrix (Season 1)

Although sparks flew at their wedding, the couple quickly ran into problems when Vaughn accused Monet of not being her true self throughout the process and for being “annoying.” Apparently, the two were not destined to work as they argued over every little thing in their relationship. It was no surprise when they decided to go separate ways at the end of the show.

It was all too good to be true for this couple from the moment they tied the knot to when they decided to stay married at end of the season. They even appeared in the spin-off show, Married at First Sight: The First Year, and continued to welcome fans into their married life through their web series, Carrying-On with the Carrions. However, after nearly five years of being together, they called it quits in March 2019.

Cortney wrote on Instagram, “In February 2019, Jason and I filed for divorce after the court of Kings County New York acknowledged at least a six-month separation. We asked for privacy this entire time because we are trying to figure it all out. At one point, we thought we were going to divorce in order to date and start all over the right way…We have decided together to move on in different paths, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have love for each other. He will always have a special place in my heart and life.”

The reality TV personality is now happily married to a new man named Sherm. The couple got married in a Peaky Blinders-themed wedding in October 2020. As for Jason, he exchanged vows with his now-wife, Roxanne Palett, in January 2020.

Sean Varricchio And Davina Kullar (Season 2)

These two had an instant connection on their wedding day, but things quickly turned sour after the honeymoon when they started to have disagreements regarding their living arrangements. With Sean and Davina, their decision to live apart during the process was perhaps the reason why their marriage failed.

On decision day, the experts asked if they exerted all their efforts and time into the process, to which they answered no. The two rarely saw each other, and after the show, they decided to get a divorce. Today, Davina has found love again and now married to Donald Davis. As for Sean, he posted on Twitter in 2015 that he's no longer connected with the show and has already “moved on.”

Ryan Ranellone And Jaclyn Methuen (Season 2)

It can be remembered that Jaclyn confessed on cam that she was “not attracted” to Ryan during their first meeting in the show. Surprisingly, the two grew closer and chose to stay together at the end of the season. However, they soon filed for a divorce. During the reunion episode, Ryan revealed that he had not given much effort into their marriage after the cameras stopped rolling and that he had “no feelings for her.”

As for Jaclyn, she might not have found the love she needed in the show, but she gained two great friends. She became close to Jessica and Davina from her Married At First Sight season. Today, she got married to a new man and has a daughter named Lainey.

Tres Russel And Vanessa Nelson And David Norton And Ashley Doherty (Season 3)

Although the two hit it off right away, they ran into issues throughout the season. Vanessa was worried that Tres wasn’t husband material, while Tres complained that she didn’t trust him. During the reunion special, he said, “I stayed committed to the marriage and us trying to make it work.”

Tres even kept contact with the show’s producers, experts, and his family to ask for assistance. Regardless of their effort and dedication to stay in the relationship, their marriage fell apart. Since then, Vanessa is busy with her new business venture while Tres seems to be living the life he did before the reality series.

From their wedding day to decision day, David and Ashley were doomed for failure. Although David said he was happy to have Ashley as his wife, Ashley constantly lamented to cameras that David was “a stranger” and that she needed more time to open up. As fans criticized her for being “cold,” it came as no surprise when the couple decided to get divorced.

After the show, it was later divulged that David had criminal history – which was kept under wraps and Ashley was not notified.
