Donald Trump is officially out of the Oval Office, and while many celebrities have voiced their excitement over the peaceful transition of power, there is one person who seems particularly enthused with the change.

Greta was so excited to see Mr. Trump exit the White House that she could not resist the temptation to send him some witty parting words. Here’s what she wrote and why she said it:

Greta Thunberg And Donald Trump’s Feud

The adolescent environmentalist and the ex- President of the United States have never seemed to see eye-to-eye. Greta publicly denounced Mr. Trump on several occasions, due to his decision to withdraw the United States from the landmark Paris Agreement on climate change.

Mr. Trump responded by cyberbullying the teenager. Perhaps he forgot to “Be Best”?

“She seems like a very happy young girl looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see,” tweeted the former president about Greta.

He also mocked the activist’s nomination to be Time’s 2019 Person of the Year, tweeting “So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old-fashioned movie with a friend. Chill, Greta, Chill!”

Those Famous Last Words

Greta, it turns out, did not chill. The young environmentalist remained critical of the former leader and even managed to use his own words against him.

In a viral Instagram post, Greta rearranged Trump’s criticism of her... and sent it right back to him! “He seems like a very happy old man looking forward to a bright and wonderful future. So nice to see,” she wrote beneath a photo of Mr. Trump’s final departure from the White House.

The post, which has received almost two million likes, marks a transition in terms of whose voices we will hear going forward. With no position of power or social media platform, there’s a chance Donald Trump will fade into irrelevance. Greta Thunberg, on the other hand, is still tweeting.

At the end of the day, Greta had the last word in her feud with the president, and we imagine that it feels pretty darn good!
