Mick Jagger has recently stated in an interview that the frequent comparisons between him and Harry Styles are merely “superficial”.

In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, the iconic Rolling Stones frontman addressed the many comparisons between him and the One Direction singer. Since his time in the band, Harry Styles has been compared to the Mick Jagger thanks to his electric on-stage presence and gender-fluid dress sense. Styles even impersonated Jagger in a 2017 episode of Saturday Night Live. On a spoof of Family Feud, the now 28-year-old singer wore a white suit and impersonated the aging rockstar's infamous swagger.

“I like Harry — we have an easy relationship,” Jagger said in a recent interview. Styles has stated in past interviews he looked up to Jagger and has drawn inspiration from him as a fan. “I mean, I used to wear a lot more eye make-up than him. Come on, I was much more androgynous. And he doesn’t have a voice like mine or move on stage like me; he just has a superficial resemblance to my younger self, which is fine — he can’t help that.”
