They have also given out fake scripts in the past, to test those that they have casted. That's only the begining as the films also shoot in hidden locations, which are not revealed in order to ensure spoilers won't be released.

If a problem does occurr behind the scenes, we have scene Disney not hesitate and release the said person.

As it turns out, Tom Holland almost fell into the bracket. Due to pure excitement, Holland revealed bits of information at press conferences. In fact, YouTube compliations have been made showing Holland revealing the script and its nature.

The actor himself admitted that it is a major problem for him, keeping things a secret.

Tom Holland Has A Bad History With Spoilers

Holland admits these days, he's usually the last person receive news about an MCU script! A lot of that has to do with his troubled past and leaking certain parts of the film.

Tom does admit that although he does reveal information, he is cautious with what it is that he reveals.

"It’s a tricky situation. ... sometimes the fans figure out what’s going on, sometimes they don’t. Sometimes they figure out one thing, and it opens up a whole world of possibilities and they go off on a tangent, which could not be more different or more correct to what we’re making. It’s a shame, sometimes, that things get leaked and things get ruined. But at the moment, with this film, I think we’re doing a very, very good job of keeping the things that need to be a secret a secret. And I’m sure there are things that are going on that I have no idea about. I mean, I’m usually the last person to find out what’s going on, because of this ridiculous rumor that I spoil movies!"

Holland revealed that there really is no easy way to go about it at the end of the day.

"But, I think, the tricky thing about those questions is: it’s a question that’s going to get a reaction regardless of what the answer is. So it’s one of those things where you just have to figure out, how is the best way to handle this? Shall I lie? Shall I tell the truth? Shall I just say, “I can’t say anything.” Shall I say, “I can neither confirm nor deny”? There’s nothing you can really say that won’t spark a reaction from the fans. So, it’s a double-edged sword. It can be great. It can be a great thing, but sometimes it can be quite a damaging thing."

The MCU sees it differently. So much so that they asked a certain star to keep a close eye on Holland during press conferences.

Benedict Cumberbatch Was Put To Work

As if touring the world to promote the film while constantly answering questions isn't enough, Benedict Cumberbatch was basically assigned the responsibility of making sure that Holland kept in-line when answering questions related to the MCU film.

'Avengers' film directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo disussed putting Benedict in the position alongside Indie Wire.

"What are you gonna do? You know. He’s the nicest guy in the world, so you can never be punitive towards Tom Holland. Of everything he spoiled? Was it like 15 minutes long?”

“It was him and Benedict Cumberbatch, and Benedict Cumberbatch just being like [blocking Tom Holland to shut him up.] Benedict is a great partner for him on the press tour. Because Benedict is actually very good at dancing around spoilers — and monitoring Tom Holland. That’s hard work.”

A sneaky move but one that was necessary.
