Some examples of that are that since their divorce, Tiger and Elin have found new partners and Nordgren has made a lot of money.Of all the positive things that came from Nordegren and Woods' marriage, the former couple's two children together take the top spot. Are Tiger Woods And Elin Nordegren Close With Their Son Charlie?
As anyone who has been part of a family touched by divorce will be able to attest, that situation can be very challenging. However, that certainly doesn't mean that divorced parents can't maintain a healthy relationship with their kids.
Of course, nobody can tell what goes on in celebrities' homes behind closed doors. That said, fortunately for Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren's kids, both of them appear to be devoted parents to their two children.
It also is important to note that Nordegren and Woods seem to be welcoming to each other's new partners as well.
In December 2020, an event took place that indicated the nature of Nordgren and Woods' relationship with their son Charlie and the family dynamic.
Just like his legendary father, Charlie has become a world-class golfer at a very young age. As a result, Charle and Tiger qualitfied to play in the 2020 PNC Championship.
Given the fact that Woods was competing in that event, it wasn't surprising that Tiger's girlfriend whom he also works with, Erica Herman, was in attendance. On top of that, since Charlie also played in the tournament, it makes sense that Nordegren was in attendance as well.
Sadly, however, a lot of divorced couples may appear at the same events as each other with their new partner and then avoid each other or worse yet, get into a fight.
When Woods, Herman, and Nordegren were at the 2020 PNC Championship together, many observers remarked on how well the three of them seemed to get along. On top of Herman and Nordegren spending hours at the same event as each other, the two women spent much of their time that day together with Elin's daughter Sam.
To Woods' credit, when he was interviewed at the PNC Championship, he remarked that he didn't care about his own golf game that day. Instead, his only concern was making sure Charlie had fun. Given how competitive Wood's infamously is, that statement says a lot.
As wonderful as it was to see Woods, Nordegren, and Herman get along when times were good, the really important thing is what happens when something go wrong. Based on what happened after Woods got into a horrific accident, their kids can rest easy that their parents will make things work no matter what.
With Woods severely injured at the time, maintaining a consistent presence in his children's lives would have been hard since they don't live with him full-time. However, according to insiders, Nordegren made sure her kids' relationship with their father remained strong at that time.
"He sees the kids a lot. Maybe not every day, but almost every day. A lot of that is because of Elin, who is just amazing. She's been incredible since the crash. She has bent over backwards to make sure that he can see the kids while he recovers from his injuries."
Does Tiger Woods Get Along With His Ex-Wife, Elin Nordegren?
If anyone wants to be a good parent, the first thing they need to do is prioritize their children's needs. At this point, it should be clear that Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren prioritize their relationships with both of their children.
Even though Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods can spend time together for the betterment of their kids, that doesn't necessarily mean they get along. However, based on what Woods told Stephen Colbert in 2016, he and Nordegren are more than co-parents, they are friends.
“She’s been one of my best friends and I’ve talked to her about so many different things and she does the same thing with me. We go back and forth. We communicate so much better now, it’s incredible. I wish we would have done that earlier on, but it’s been incredible to have a best friend like that.”
