Some big celebrity names have been able to save the lives of people in need, completely on a whim. Thanks to these celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Cruise, and Patrick Dempsey, many lives have been saved.
These celebrities have pulled people from burning cars, saved people from drowning, and have even stopped people from taking their own life. If it wasn't for these celebrities being in the right place at the right time, they wouldn't have been able to save the lives of these people who desperately needed their help.
10 Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio was on vacation on his luxury yacht when he saw something, or someone, rather, floating in the water. A man had fallen off a cruise ship and had spent over 11 hours treading water, desperately looking for help. They had heard about the search for the man and Leonardo decided to join the search.
Out of everyone searching for the man, it turned out that Leo had been the only boat to find the man. It was perfect timing too as a storm was rolling in. Leo pulled him on board and gave him food and water before he took the man to get help. If it wasn't for Leo, the man would've drowned for sure.
9 Jack Osbourne
Jack Osbourne was on his honeymoon when he spotted a woman who needed help. While they were at the beach, the woman had a heart attack and started to drown. Jack jumped into action and immediately went to help the woman. He, along with the help of others, was able to resuscitate her and keep her alive and stable until help was able to arrive. Who knows what would've happened if Jack wasn't there to step in and save the day. The woman might've drowned, and died.
8 Jamie Foxx
Jamie Foxx was a hero when there was a car accident not too far away from his house. A man who was driving under the influence crashed his car, causing the vehicle to burst into flames. Jamie wasted no time jumping into action where he went to the scene of the crash and pulled the driver out of the burning vehicle. Apparently, Jamie didn't have to think twice about putting himself in danger to save someone else, as he didn't hesitate to save a life.
7 Simon Cowell
Simon Cowell might not seem like a man to save someone's life, but he did do so, in a really unconventional way. While he was a judge on the British version of The X Factor, he made some comments on contestant Jacqui Gray's voice, telling her that it sounded really raspy and that she was choking on something.
He also mentioned that she should get it checked out. She took his advice and went to the doctor where she found out that she had bronchiectasis, and if left untreated, she could've died. Thanks to Simon's comments, he saved her life.
6 Danny Trejo
Actor Danny Trejo happened to be in the right place at the right time when he witnessed two vehicles crashing, causing one of them to roll over. Without thinking twice, he jumped into action and headed to the scene of the accident where the overturned vehicle still had a baby trapped inside in a car seat. With the help of another person at the scene, he was able to climb through the broken window and unstrap the baby from the car seat, and freeing them from the vehicle. If it wasn't for Danny, who knows what would have happened to the baby.
5 Gerard Butler
Gerard Butler was definitely in the right place at the right time when he was able to save a little boy from drowning. Gerard was having a picnic with his mother by the River Tay when he heard the little boy screaming. He didn't hesitate before he suddenly jumped up from his picnic before he jumped into the river to save the boy. He managed to get to the boy just as he submerged under the water. He doesn't think of himself as a hero, though, just that he did what his instincts told him to do, and that was to jump in the lake and save the boy.
4 Dr. Oz
Dr. Mehmet Oz is a real-life hero. Recently, Dr. Oz was getting off a flight at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey when a man had collapsed in the terminal. He had stopped breathing and didn't have a pulse. Luckily, Dr. Oz jumped into action where he performed CPR on the man until help arrived with a defibrillator. Thanks to Dr. Oz performing CPR, the man started breathing again and was transported to a hospital. Thankfully Dr. Oz was in the right place at the right time and was able to save a man in an unlikely place.
3 Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise may play a hero on the big screen, but he was also one in real life too. Back in 1988, he was filming the movie Cocktail. He was filming the movie alongside Elisabeth Shue when she started to walk toward the tail rotor of a helicopter, which is extremely dangerous and could kill you on the spot. Luckily, Tom Cruise saw her walking toward the rotor and was able to act quickly and lunge at her to stop her from walking into the blades, ultimately saving her life.
2 Patrick Dempsey
Patrick Dempsey jumped into action when he saw a car flip over near his home. The car rolled over several times which trapped the boy in the car, badly injuring him. Using a crowbar and a fire extinguisher, Petrick Dempsey raced to the crash where he helped free the boy from the car. He was barely conscious, so Patrick called for help. While waiting for an ambulance to arrive, Patrick had to make sure that the boy was alive and stable. Thankfully Patrick was there to help the boy, otherwise who knows if he would have made it.

Rapper T.I. can definitely call himself a hero when he saved someone from committing suicide. A man was standing on the roof of a high-rise office building in Atlanta, Georgia. The rapper happened to be in the right place at the right time as cops were trying to talk the man off of the ledge. T.I. offered to step in and talk to the man, offering him words of advice and encouragement, persuading him to not jump off of the building. Thankfully, the man agreed to come down and talk to T.I., as the rapper convinced him to not take his own life.
