Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are one of the power couples in Hollywood who are known for their hilarious comedy movies. They met at an improv theater in L.A. in 1998, but ironically, they both grew up in Illinois. The two of them started dating the same year they met and got married seven years later in 2005. During the time they were dating, they were both starting their careers as actors. About six years into their marriage Melissa landed a huge role in the comedy, Bridesmaids, and that launched both of their careers since Ben had a role in it too.

Since then, the power couple has created about six movies together, starred in ten movies together, and launched their own production company. 10 'Bridesmaids' (2011)

The first time Melissa McCarthy appeared in a movie with her husband was when they both starred in the hilarious movie, Bridesmaids. Melissa played one of the main roles while Ben had a smaller role. She played Megan, a goofy but caring bridesmaid who works for the government and has the hots for Ben’s character, Air Marshal Jon. You can tell the two of them are a couple in real life. Even if they have a lot of goofy moments together in the movie, you can still see they have chemistry between them and that they have a lot of fun with each other.

9 'Identity Thief' (2013)

Identity Thief was the first time Melissa had a huge role in a movie. Her character Megan definitely had a big part in Bridesmaids, but the movie was surrounded by Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolph’s characters. “Melissa stars in the 2013 movie Identity Thief and Ben makes a cameo in the film as Tony/Motel Desk Clerk,” according to Just Jared. The two of them act in a short scene, but you can see their chemistry in the few minutes they’re on screen together. He even tells Jason Bateman’s character to “treat his lady better.”

8 'The Heat' (2013)

The Heat is the second movie where Melissa has a huge role in it and she stars in it along with Sandra Bullock. “Melissa stars in the 2013 movie The Heat and Ben makes a cameo in the movie as the Blue Collar Man,” according to Just Jared. Ben plays a guy who Melissa’s character, Detective Mullins, dated. But ironically, her character is trying to ignore and get rid of Ben’s character even though they’re completely in love in real life.

7 'Tammy' (2014)

Tammy is the first movie where Melissa and Ben weren't just actors in it. “Tammy marked Ben‘s directorial debut and he also wrote the film. Melissa stars in the title role of the movie,” according to Just Jared. Melissa helped Ben write and produce the movie too. On top of writing, producing, and directing the movie, Ben played Tammy’s boss, Keith Morgan. He was only in a short scene in the beginning of the movie, but they looked like they had a lot of fun making it, especially when Melissa was throwing food at him. It might be the funniest scene in the movie.

6 'Spy' (2015)

Spy is one of the couple’s most popular movies and has the highest rating out of all of their movies with 95% on Rotten Tomatoes. According to Just Jared, “Melissa stars in the 2015 movie Spy and Ben makes a cameo in the film as the American Tourist.” Ben only appears in the movie for a few seconds, but it’s a hilarious moment when he asks Melissa’s character directions to Popeyes while she’s trying to catch criminals.

5 'The Boss' (2016)

Along with her husband, Melissa stars with Kristen Bell and a lot of famous actors in this movie. “The Boss is the second movie that Ben directed with Melissa in the lead role. He also wrote the film,” according to Just Jared. On top of playing the lead role as Michelle Darnell, Melissa co-wrote and produced this movie as well. Ben plays Michelle’s lawyer when she’s in jail and the two of them have a wild but hilarious argument. Melissa and Ben's daughter, Vivian, is also in the movie and plays the younger version of Michelle.

4 'Life Of The Party' (2018)

Life Of The Party is another one of the couple’s most popular movies. It “is the third movie that Ben directed with Melissa leading the cast,” according to Just Jared. They both wrote and produced the movie together while Ben directed it and Melissa played the lead role as Deanna Miles. Ben had a small part in this movie as well and played an Uber Driver named Dale who takes Deanna to her parent’s house after her husband tells her he wants a divorce.

3 'The Happytime Murders' (2018)

Out of all of Melissa and Ben’s films, this might be the goofiest one. It has a lot of puppets in it, but it’s definitely not for kids. Pretty much all of the scenes with puppets are inappropriate, but they’re hilarious and it’s not surprising since the couple is known for their humorous adult jokes. “Melissa stars in the 2018 movie The Happytime Murders and Ben plays the role of Donny in the film,” according to Just Jared. The couple didn’t write the script for this movie like their other ones, but they both produced it.

2 'Superintelligence' (2020)

Superintelligence is Ben‘s fourth movie in the director’s chair and Melissa also stars in it, though he didn’t write this film,” according to Just Jared. Melissa plays another lead role as Carol Vivian Peters and her husband has a smaller role as Agent Charles Kuiper in this movie too. Neither of them wrote this movie either, but they both produced it.

1 'Thunder Force' (2021)

Thunder Force is the couple’s newest film that came out on Netflix in April. Melissa plays Lydia Berman who is a superhero known as The Hammer and co-stars in it with fellow famous actress, Octavia Spencer, who plays Emily Stanton who is another superhero known as Bingo. “Thunder Force marks the fifth collaboration between Melissa and Ben, who wrote and directed the movie,” according to Just Jared. Ben played Kenny in the movie on top of writing, producing, and directing the movie and Melissa helped produce it. It's the second movie their daughter, Vivian, has starred in and she plays the younger version of her mom's character, Lydia.
