Last weekend, Oscar-nominated actor Timothée Chalamet compared his upcoming movie Dune to the Harry Potter franchise, revealing that an entire generation grew up with Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novel as his own did, with J.K. Rowling’s tour de force.

Unsurprisingly, Harry Potter continues to be relevant even today for its depiction of a human story through an enormous magical world, and the good vs evil fight. Chalamet himself appears to be a fan of the franchise, and was seen wearing a House Slytherin sweater during his virtual interviews for Dune.

Harry Potter Fans Are Obsessed With Timothée’s Look

While Zendaya wore a stylish outfit for the interview, the Call Me By Your Name actor was seen sporting a deep green Harry Potter themed sweater.

It featured the House Slytherin emblem and colors, Slytherin being one of the four houses of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels.

Each house has a set of traits and characteristics associated with it, and those in Slytherin are known for being resourceful, ambitious and cunning. Timothée was clearly flaunting his house pride by donning the sweater, which has sent Harry Potter fans into a bit of a frenzy.

“timothée chalamet in a slytherin sweater… that’s my regulus black..” a fan gushed on Twitter.

“timothee wearing the slytherin jumper has me crying. he defo knows about the fan cast of regulus…” added another.

For years, Harry Potter fans have dreamed of watching Chalamet portray Regulus Black in a potential spin-off movie following the Marauders. Regulus was a pure-blood wizard and the younger brother of Sirius Black, who was portrayed by Gary Oldman.

“Timothee knew exactly what he was doing when he wore that slytherin sweater…” gushed a user.

“timothée chalamet wearing a slytherin sweater is something I didn't know I needed” said a fan.

In Dune, Chalamet will be seen as the protagonist Paul Atreides, alongside Zendaya who plays a young Fremen woman and eventually becomes Paul's love interest. The film had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival and is set to release in theatres on October 21, 2021.

Dune is directed by French-Canadian film-maker Denis Villeneuve who is known for his work on Blade Runner, Sicario and other films.
