Here's everything we know.

His Time Off Has Been Discussed At Length

Taking time off from Tampa Bay Buccaneers is not a decision that can be taken lightly, not even if you're Tom Brady. In fact, being such an important player just makes the decision even harder. But Tom didn't make it on his own, he consulted coach Todd Bowles about it, and they agreed it was the best course of action. Apparently, he had some personal issues he needs to deal with before he can dedicate his full attention to the team.

"This is something we talked about before training camp started," coach Bowles said. "We allotted this time because he wanted to get in and get chemistry with the guys and go through two weeks of training camp, knowing he wasn't going to play the first two games. He didn't want to take away reps from Blaine [Gabbert] and Kyle [Trask] as well as 'Griff' [Ryan Griffin] as far as going into these next two games. And it's something he needs to handle." He also added that he and the team trust him completely and know he won't let them down. Which, honestly, no one really doubted anyway.

Tom Brady Almost Retired This Year

Tom Brady might not be retiring now, but he actually considered the idea earlier this year, and even announced it, only to regret it shortly after. Clearly, whatever he's dealing with is important, but thankfully he doesn't need to give up on his team just yet.

"These past two months I have realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands," he wrote in an Instagram post. "That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. Without them, none of this is possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa. We have unfinished business."

Let's hope Tom manages to work on whatever it is that is taking up his time, and hopefully, all these changes will be for the better, both for him personally and for his career.
