Despite The Rumors, Tom Cruise Revealed That It Was His Dream To Be A Father
Given that Tom Cruise doesn't see his daughter Suri as much these days, rumors suggest that he isn't interested in fatherhood, and more concerned over the state of his career. This couldn't be further from the truth, at least from statements made by the actor himself.
“My whole life I always wanted to be a father," Cruse revealed.
Tom would also reveal that although his schedule is demanding, he always wants to be there for his children, and he isn't afraid to show them 'too much love'.
“I always said to myself that my children would be able to depend on me and I would always be there for them and love them—that I’d never make a promise to my kids that I couldn’t keep. I’m not one of those people who believe you can spoil a child with too much love. You can never give a child too much love. There’s just no way.”
Crusie definitely spoiled his daughter Isabella on her wedding day, taking the bill for the entire day. However, it was bizarre that Cruise, nor Nicole Kidman appeared on her big day. There were several reasons for it, and it seems to make sense.
Tom Cruise Paid For Isabella's Wedding But Might've Been Banned Because Of His Star Power
Several reasons were given as to why Tom Cruise missed out on his daughter's big day. The one that seems to make the most sense, is that Cruise skipped out because of his star power.
Had he showed up, the attention of the day would've been on him, as opposed to his daughter. Hollywood Life would also reveal that Cruise couldn't leave the set of his film at the time, departing would've cost the production millions of dollars. But again, that's just speculation.
Hollywood Life reported, "Tom is filming a new film that is taking time and millions of dollars not to mess up scheduling, along with that he also didn‘t go to the wedding because it was his daughter’s wishes and he knows that if he went it would be all about him. Paps and guests would have made it a less special day had they been focusing on Tom."
Other publications would also reveal their take on why Cruise missed the wedding, and one of the reasons has to do with a rule made Isabella herself.
TMZ Revealed It Was A Small Wedding And Parents Were Not Allowed
According to TMZ, inside sources close to the family revealed that parents were not invited, and that it was a very small ceremony at Dorchester hotel in London.
The publication revealed, "Sources connected with Tom and Bella tell TMZ, she and Max wanted a super small wedding in London with a few friends and that was it ... no parents were invited. We're told Tom was not only cool with the decision, he footed the bill for the wedding and party at the fancy schmancy Dorchester hotel."
Other rumors suggested that Cruise skipped out on the ceremony because of Isabella's husband and his religious beliefs. However, that seems to be just a rumor.
TMZ writes, "Some media reports suggest Tom stayed away because Max is not a Scientologist. We're told that was never an issue. We're told Tom and Max get along well ... Max and Bella spent Thanksgiving and XMAS with Tom."
Without a doubt, Tom got to celebrate alongside his daughter at one point or another, privately behind the scenes.
