In an exclusive interview with People, Tom Felton opened up about his willingness to return to the Harry Potter franchise and reprise the role of Draco Malfoy.

Felton starred in all eight installments of the Harry Potter franchise, which is based on the best-selling novels written by J. K. Rowling. Malfoy was an arrogant bully that belonged to Slytherin house and often antagonized Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) in the movies.

The Harry Potter films spanned over 10 years, with all eight movies grossing $7.73 billion worldwide.

While promoting the new Harry Potter-themed flag store coming to New York City, the 33-year-old actor was asked if he would return for a future Harry Potter project.

"If you're asking me will I dye my hair blonde again to be Draco, abso-bloody-lutely. Either [him or Lucius]. I'll play Draco's kid if you really want!" Felton said. "Any chance to be a Malfoy again would be greatly accepted."

Felton went on to say that he has grown an attachment to Draco and feels a sense of “ownership” over the character. "I do feel if someone else played [Draco], I'd be slightly possessive, going, 'Hang on,'” he revealed.

Even though the actor is open to reprising the role of Draco in another Harry Potter project, the possibility of a future film is highly unlikely.

There have been no talks of another Harry Potter film, after the storyline concluded with the last installment of the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (2011). Since then, the series has spawned the Fantastic Beasts film series, as well as the two-part play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes actor shared that he keeps in contact with the former cast members, and they said are like an “unjointed family.”

"It's sort of a very unjointed family, really, where we all kind of feel like we're part of something that we don't actually get a chance to speak to about much," he explained.

"But when we do, within a minute, Rupert's already talking about his latest car that he wants to get or whatever it may be,” he added. “It's always fun to catch up."

This November will mark the 20th anniversary of the release of the first film in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) in theaters. When this was mentioned to him, the young actor marveled at how the Harry Potter series has grown in popularity over the years.

"I was speaking to Rupert Grint, Daniel, and Emma Watson separately the other day and [said], 'Twenty years, can you imagine that?'

"Also, we're all sort of a bit flabbergasted that it's [even] more popular [now]," Felton adds of the fantasy franchise. "We're all a bit surprised by that. We're certainly excited, and made to feel old when we realize that it was 20 years ago that we made the first film."
