Living His Best Life On The Ranch
Tom Selleck is in his 10th season of Blue Bloods so he has not yet officially retired. However the 75 year old actor spends the majority of his time on his ranch in Ventura, California. People Tom Selleck revealed his lifestyle: "I do grunt work and I make the rounds... It’s a retreat." Selleck has lived on the same ranch for 32 years now.
Family First
Selleck actually left his biggest role in television because he wanted to prioritize family life over fame. He explained, "I quit Magnum, not because I didn’t like it or I was tired of it...I wanted a three-dimensional life because I didn’t have one." Selleck decided to take a step back from fame, and live a more peaceful life with his wife and daughter.
'Friends' A Close Second
According to Today, Selleck was originally slated for just three episodes of Friends in 1996, but his role was extended after producers were pleased with his performance. The Friends reboot is in the works, but Tom Selleck has not yet received his invitation. He has made it known that he is interested, commenting, "if the opportunity came up, I’d do it again!" Although he loves his retreat on the ranch, Tom Selleck is eager to pack up his bags to join the Friends reunion.
