The Twilight movies are incredible and beloved by many. Stephenie Meyer is the brilliant author who wrote the book series that ended up reaching undeniable levels of success! Once the book series grew to be extremely popular, the movie releases began to follow. The first movie from the Twilight saga was released in 2008. The stars of the Twilight movie franchise include Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner. Kristen Stewart played the role of Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson played the role of Edward Cullen, and Taylor Lautner played the role of Jacob Black. These three main characters were in a wildly passionate love triangle throughout the course of the saga.
Ultimately, Bella Swan ended up choosing Edward Cullen as her soulmate. She even ended up allowing him to change her from human into vampire so they could stay together forever. A lot of the things from this movie franchise do make sense, but there are a few things that are still a bit off.
15 Makes Sense: Bella's Awkward Relationship With Charlie At First
When Bella Swan first moved in with her father, Charlie Swan, their relationship wasn’t as comfortable as most relationships are between a parent and their child. That is because Bella Swan spent most of her life growing up with her mom, Renee. The transitional period between Bella and Charlie getting comfortable with each other seemed pretty normal and realistic to us!
14 Makes ZERO Sense: Jasper Can Manipulate Bella's Mental State But Edward Can't
Jasper Cullen had the ability to manipulate Bella‘s mental state by helping her calm down when she was frightened but for some reason, Edward Cullen could not manipulate Bella’s mind the same way. He wasn’t even able to read Bella’s mind when he first met her which is something that he is able to do with all humans.
13 Makes Sense: The Occasional Tension Between Bella And Jessica
It makes sense that Bella Swan and Jessica Stanley had occasional tension between them. In a lot of teenage friendships, jealousy is a feeling that looms between young females. Jessica Stanley was obviously jealous of Bella Swan but she still wanted to be Bella’s friend.
12 Makes ZERO Sense: Jacob Black Imprinting On Renesmee
Jacob’s decision to imprint on Renesmee doesn’t really make any sense. It is super creepy, weird, and uncomfortable. Jacob pretty much fell in love with the daughter of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen before he had even met her and before she was even grown up. How weird.
11 Makes Sense: The Cullens Choose To Live In A Gloomy Area
It makes sense that the Cullen family choose to live in gloomy areas. The fact that they live in Forks, Washington makes all the sense in the world because Forks, Washington is a super gloomy town. It is usually very dark and cloudy with a major lack of sunlight. A perfect place for vampires.
10 Makes ZERO Sense: Bella's Paper Cut Made Jasper Go Crazy
Bella’s paper cut made Jasper go so crazy that Edward felt like his entire family needed to flee town in order to keep Bella safe. The fact that Jasper got that crazy and dangerous over a paper cut really doesn’t make any sense. He should have had more self-control than that!
9 Makes Sense: Edward Rescues Bella Whenever She's In Harm's Way
Edward coming to the rescue whenever Bella was in harm's way obviously makes all the sense in the world because Edward was madly in love with Bella. Whether he was saving her from getting crushed by a car or saving her from a group of dangerous drunks, he was always there to make sure that she was safe.
8 Makes ZERO Sense: Edward Depending On The Volturi To End His Life
When Edward wanted to give up his life after thinking that Bella was already dead herself, he decided to surrender himself to the Volturi. Realistically, it seems like there are plenty of other routes that Edward could have gone instead of interacting with the Volturi.
7 Makes Sense: Edward's Proposal To Bella
Edward's proposal to Bella makes sense because even though she is young, she already knew how deeply she loved him. Edward was in a young man’s body, but he was old enough to know that he felt genuine love for her in return. His decision to propose to her makes sense!
6 Makes ZERO Sense: The Werewolves Get Their Shorts Back Once They Shapeshift To Human Form Again
Whenever the werewolves shapeshift from human form to werewolf form, it seems like their clothes are disappearing and reappearing all the time. When they are in human form, they instantly have their clothes on with no explanation, but when they turn into werewolves, their clothes instantly disappear.
5 Makes Sense: Bella Kissing Jacob To Stop Him From Endangering His Life
Even though Bella was always in love with Edward Cullen, and even though she knew that she was ultimately going to end up with Edward Cullen, she still decided to give Jacob Black a kiss in order to prevent him from endangering his life. Any true friend would do that.
4 Makes ZERO Sense: Bella Is Instantly Great At Vampire Living
The fact that Bella Swan instantly knew how to be an amazing vampire is not realistic. We saw Jasper struggling to maintain his composure when she got a paper cut as a human, so how was she instantly so good at having self-control and channeling her strength in the right ways?
3 Makes Sense: The Cullens Blowing Off Steam With Family Sports
It makes sense that the Cullen family spent time blowing off some steam and playing sports in the woods. They obviously avoided joining sports teams on campus at their high school, so being able to have fun as a family was a great way for them to still enjoy the experience.
2 Makes ZERO Sense: Bella Somehow Created Life With Someone Who Has Been Deceased For 93 Years
We know that Bella Swan was still a human at the point of time when she got pregnant with Edward Cullen’s child. What we do not understand is how a pregnancy was able to take place when Edward Cullen himself is dead… This means that all things inside of him are dead as well and cannot create life.
1 Makes Sense: The Gorgeous Wedding Between Bella And Edward
The beautiful wedding that took place between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan makes all the sense in the world. Couples who get married at a young age don’t always know what they are doing but it is obvious that Edward and Bella knew exactly what they were doing when they decided to move forward in marriage.
