The artist is getting attention for some remarks he said in an interview about another popular band from England.

McCartney threw shade at the Rolling Stones, and fans were not pleased with him.

Paul Called Them A “Blues Cover Band”

The musician did a recent interview with The New Yorker, which is when he made his comments about the Beatles’ rival group.

He spoke about what kind of group he considers the Rolling Stones to be, and apparently, it’s not in the same league as his own.

"I’m not sure I should say it, but they’re a blues cover band, that’s sort of what the Stones are," the 79-year-old was quoted as saying.

Then he continued his dig by saying, in so many words, that the Beatles were much more popular and successful than them.

"I think our net was cast a bit wider than theirs," McCartney, who is reportedly a billionaire, finished.

He has said something like this before… Last he told radio host Howard Stern that “The Beatles were better" than the Stones.

People Said Paul Is A “Bitter”, Aging Man

After his comments came to light, people seemed to think that McCartney was just being a bitter old guy that’s jealous the Stones still tour and play shows.
