Let's just say both Bill Maher and Hugh Hefner took different paths to climb the top of their respective mountains.
Starting with Hef, he was fueled by rejection after being let go. He got a loan from his own mother to start Playboy and soon enough, he wasn't looking for loans anymore...
As for Maher, he graduated from Cornell University in both English and History, let's just say he ended up in a different field, one that involved improv comedy early on. Although his rise looks clean-cut, Maher admitted that it wasn't, he sold a certain substance to get through both college and later, get started in the world of comedy.
Although both are controversial, neither are afraid to speak their minds. In truth, when Hefner was still around, the two got along. Maher briefly described one of Hefner's parties a few years back.
"I don’t know how swinging a place it is anyway” now, he says. “But it certainly is a fun party when they throw one. I hope they continue to do that. And his kids, I don’t know what their ambitions are. Sometimes kids rebel against whatever the parents want."
“They seem like really nice kids. And God, if you had to pick one father to inherit something from, that would be the one.”
Maher has respect for Hef, he would pay tribute to the man behind Playboy following his passing.
It seems like comparisons are continuing on these days, with fans linking a hilarious picture of Maher to Playboy's late chief.
Hefner Vibes
A look only a few can pull off... The red shoes are Hef-like, and well as for the attire, we really don't know what to say.
Give the guy a comfortable robe and he's all set to take over the Playboy mansion...
There seems to be respect between the two, Hef's IG account linked one of Maher's speeches, proving that the two have a connection.
Without a doubt, Hefner must've loved the fact that Maher speaks freely and in reality, really doesn't seem to be bothered when it comes to what others think about him.
Heck, he attended the Playboy mansion, and clearly, he had quite the time!
