MCU co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans have been cast to play leads in a new romantic action adventure flick titled Ghosted. As per Deadline, the high profile project is directed by Dexter Fletcher who created Rocketman and also worked on the Oscar-nominated film Bohemian Rhapsody.

Details surrounding the film's plot is being kept under wraps, but the project is described as a "high-concept romantic action adventure" similar to the 1984 adventure film Romancing the Stone, which starred legendary actors Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.

Their Fans Are Thrilled

Chris and Scarlett first met in 2004 on the set of The Perfect Score, and have remained close friends ever since. The actors are admired for their illustrious roles in the MCU as Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow).

While fans initially hoped to see a romance bloom between Scarlett and Chris, the pair has always maintained that they are friends.

Johansson has previously admitted she feels like a "big sister" to Evans, so fans are excited to see their on-screen chemistry in Ghosted. It's also a big moment for fans who shipped Natasha and Steve's superhero characters together, and can't wait for the actors to reunite.

Chris Evans also has a plethora of projects under his belt, and earned critical acclaim for his recent performance in Apple TV's Defending Jacob. He has reunited to work with Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo on Netflix's action thriller The Gray Man, alongside Ryan Gosling.

In 2007, Evans played the love interest to Johansson's character in the romcom flick The Nanny Diaries. The pair will show off their impressive on-screen chemistry once again in Ghosted, nearly 14 years later.
