As the plot of And Just Like That… has leaked, it looks like the fabulous outfits of Carrie Bradshaw and her friends aren’t the only thing the Sex and the City sequel will bring back.

Focusing on the lives of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin David), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), the continuation series will feature a more diverse cast of characters. While this is a fresh and welcome addition, other things just don't change as the show will also reignite one of the original series' biggest dramas: Carrie’s on-off romance with Big.

Carrie Is A Podcaster And A Divorcée In ‘Sex And The City’ Revival

We had left Carrie and Big (Chris Noth) married at the end of the first SATC movie. They had stayed together throughout the second movie, too, despite going through a rough patch (and Carrie bumping into her ex-fiancé Aidan, portrayed by John Corbett).

However, according to Page Six reporting on a script leak, it looks like the romance between Carrie and Big is no more in this new installment.

In the leaked scene, Carrie is discussing her divorce from Big with her friends Stanford Blatch (Willie Garson), Miranda, and Charlotte. The lead confirms she has joined the ex-wives club, together with Big’s first two ex-spouses.

Carrie says: “I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?”

Fans Of ‘SATC’ Still Aren’t Over Big Leaving Carrie At The Altar

Is this a major blow for fans of the show, given the new chapter already lacks the sass of Samantha Jones after actress Kim Cattrall chose not to return for this new NYC adventure? Well, not quite.

Some are on the fence with the on-again, off-again relationship with Mr. Big being explored in the sequel. The two characters’ romance was never the healthiest on the show, according to many viewers who didn’t fail to point that out on social media.

A fan wrote they're "still likely gunna watch the heck out of [the revival] though (and likely roll my eyes at what I've been hearing about the carrie and big stuff)," which sounds like the approach many will have with this new series.

“Who leaked the new SATC script!? Not Big still giving Carrie hell,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

Their divorce comes to the surprise of absolutely no one, another fan added.

“Carrie and Big are divorced in the new #SATC series?” They wrote, adding a “groundbreaking” GIF of Meryl Streep as the iconic Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada.

Finally, someone seems not to be over Big leaving Carrie at the altar in the first movie. And rightfully so.

“Just peeped the ‘leaked’ SATC revival script. I really hope Carrie and Big aren’t over. I simply can’t go through it again. Tbh I’m still not over him leaving her at the altar in the first movie!!” they wrote.

For fans of the couple, however, there might still be a chance to get their Big happy-ish ending.
