The Ocean Eyes singer stunned everyone as she attended the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City on Sunday night. Billie Eilish replaced her newfound style with her famous baggy look, and looked amazing in an oversized black sweater that she wore over a midi dress, along with black socks and leather boots.

Billie’s platinum blonde bob looked incredible as always, and the singer wore minimal makeup. The 19-year-old star was joined by her brother Finneas who sported a dapper emerald velvet blazer for the event.

While fans aren’t surprised to see Billie return to comfortable fashion, they wish she would’ve picked something more stylish for the occasion. Several Twitter users referred to her baggy outfit as “Grandma’s clothes”, joking that Billie “got her clothes from the lost and found bin”.

Billie’s Outfit Gives Fans ‘Grandma’ Vibes

When Billie Eilish was photographed for Vogue in a barrage of gorgeous corsets and stockings, fans thought it to be a welcome surprise. The singer was finally displaying a different side to her fashion choices and social media users were in awe of how grown up she looked.

Regardless of whether Billie Eilish dons revealing clothing, fans just want her to continue serving looks. But her outfit choice for the Video Music Awards this year has been nothing short of questionable.

“Thought this was my grandma omg…” a fan wrote in the comments.

“grandma clothes, looks comfy honestly,” said another.

“She looks gorgeous but the fit..” criticized a user.

“It’s giving grandma...why the crazy look Billie?” asked another.

“billie is presenting something... this means... she’s gonna walk on stage... and everyone will see her... in that outfit... i’m shaking and crying and throwing up everywhere..” gushed a user.

“i love billie but her outfit looks like she bought it at H&M or something-” shared a fan.

Billie’s “grandma” outfit has fans worried about her look for the MET Gala. The theme for the annual event this year is “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion”.

The singer-songwriter is one of many young high-profile celebrities (including Timothée Chalamet and Amanda Gorman) co-chairing the event.
