Tyler, the Creator is no stranger to controversy, even from the beginning of his career. His breakout single and its video companion, "Yonkers" from his debut album Goblin, are fueled with violent references and a plethora of disses.

"Dude, n****s don't know that that beat was made as a joke. I was trying to make a shitty New York beat and we was just rapping like we was from New York," he said about the controversial video.

While his edgy era of Goblin is far behind him, Tyler's inner wild is still there. Bruno Mars, Hayley Williams, DJ Khaled, and Eminem are only a few names of musicians who have previously beefed with the rapper.

10 DJ Khaled

DJ Khaled and Tyler have shared an uneasy path of chart battles for the past few years. Back in 2019, Tyler's Igor top the Billboard 200 chart ahead of DJ Khaled's Father of Asahd, to which the producer didn't take so kindly.

"It's called albums that you actually hear the songs. Not no mysterious s**t that you never hear it," he took subliminal shots at Tyler.

This year, Tyler hit another number-one with his recent album, Call Me If You Get Lost. Being the petty man he typically is, he took to Twitter to troll the super-producer, "N***** IS BLESSED. MYSTERIOUS MUSIC! HA!"

9 Bruno Mars

On his breakout single "Yonkers," the potty-mouth rapper said that he wanted to "stab Bruno Mars in his goddamn esophagus."

Addressing the controversy, Bruno Mars kindly told Tyler that he "has to wait in line if he wants to stab me. (Tyler's) definitely not the first guy that's said something like that to me and he's not going to be the last."

8 Eminem

Once upon a time, Eminem and Tyler were good friends. The Goblin rapper even enlisted the Rap God as one of his influences in music and noted his serial killer-themed Relapse as his favorite album that shaped the beginning of his career.

However, Tyler called Em's Shady XV complication album "a**" not too long after the two "were just on tour with us, we hung out, we kicked it, made jokes." The boiling point came when Tyler openly bashed Em for his critically-panned Revival album and its "Walk on Water" lead single. Em didn't take it too kindly and responded on his Kamikaze album.

7 ASAP Nast

It's common to see rappers calling out each other for allegedly copying their rap styles and flows. Last year, ASAP Nast called out Tyler for copying his entire mood board consisting of outfit inspirations. Tyler went to address the strife on the 12th track "Rise!" from his recent album, "Why you filled with terror whenever you in my presence?/Is it ‘cause we look just alike and n***** said it?"

6 Hopsin

Back in 2011, Hopsin sat down with Jack Thriller from ThisIs50 hip-hop website and said that Tyler's collective, Odd Future, has zero good songs and tons of bad-quality beats and negativity. He even dissed Tyler on his Ill Mind of Hopsin 4, to which Tyler responded on "Buffalo" from Cherry Bomb album, "I bought me a mansion / That bought some attention / Give none to Hopsin."

5 Chris Brown

Also in the same year, Chris Brown and Tyler, the Creator had a hilarious-yet-heated conversation on Twitter. The R&B powerhouse singer subliminally called Tyler's music "demonic" and promotes "death, violence, and destruction."

"Why Is Chris Brown Talking So Much S**t About Metallica? Weird," Tyler tweeted before cracking jokes about the singer's blonde hair. "N**** Look Like A Box Of Pops."

4 J. Cole

J. Cole may undoubtedly be one of the illest rappers in the game at the moment, but according to Tyler in 2011, he isn't. "J cole is weak to me," he tweeted.

Although there isn't any heated exchange throughout the years, it doesn't seem like Tyler, the Creator and J.Cole will work on anything together. However, with the two recently released their respective albums, they seem to be in a chart battle for the time being.

3 Danny Brown

Back in 2013, Tyler and Danny Brown had a minor scuffle on Twitter. It all started when Brown accused other rappers of not living their raps authentically, or in his own words, not being about that molly life.

Tyler called out molly users, "NOT F****G COOL IF YOU DO THAT S**T YOU F****NG LOSER F**K." Brown didn't take it lightly, saying that "nobody care about that Lil n**** no more."

2 Selena Gomez

Tyler had his fair share of inappropriate tweets about singer Selena Gomez in the past, and seemingly, he's coming forward to publicly apologize in a verse. He raps on "Manifesto" from the latest album, "I was a teener, tweetin' Selena crazy s--t. Didn't wanna offend her, apologize when I seen her. Back when I was tryna f--k Bieber, Just-in." Selena Gomez is yet to make a comment.

1 Tegan And Sara

Lastly, we have Canadian veteran duo Tegan and Sara who said that the rapper "can't defend how he behaves." Back then, the two traded blows regarding the rapper's "vile anti-gay slurs" to which the rapper responded that they "need some hard d***."
