Bam Margera's Rise To Fame

Bam Margera might not be a huge name with younger audiences these days, but millennials will always remember the days when Bam was dominating the scene on MTV.

Prior to being on MTV, Bam was busy making a name for himself as a professional skater. He was solid in this field and was able to secure some solid sponsorships along the way.

Bam would also be creating his own hilarious stunt videos for his CKY series, which is what ultimately led to landing a spot on Jackass. Once Jackass took off, Bam was reaching a new level of fame.

Suddenly, MTV had a massive hit show on their hands, and the young Margera was far more marketable than some of the other members of the group. Not only that, but this also helped boost his status as a professional skater, allowing him to market himself in a variety of ways.

This was only the beginning of just how huge Bam Margera would get in the public eye, and once he was at the top, he began to rake in loads of cash in the process. Few people, however, could have been able to predict just how much money he would make while he was still a famous face in the industry, and fewer people could have predicted he'd lose millions!

How He Earned His Millions

Now that Bam had been able to reach a certain level of fame thanks to his time on MTV, it was time for him to start building his massive net worth. Naturally, he had a number of ways to cash in during this era.

First and foremost, Bam was making his MTV money, and we mean money! Not only was he on Jackass, but Bam wound up getting his own series called Viva La Bam.

According to IMDb, the series remained on air for a whopping 5 seasons and a total of 40 episodes. Bam, in an interview with Nine Club, said the show had a budget of $300,000 a week!

While he did not disclose his pay, we can only imagine how much he was able to take home during this time. Bam would also appear in several Jackass films and he would have a short-lived Unholy Union series on MTV, which allowed him to take home millions!

He was making quite a bit of money through this type of media, and his skateboarding sponsorships also paid well. Bam’s partnership with Element was netting him plenty of money thanks to selling a ton of merch and boards.

In fact, Margera, in a DVD commentary, stated that he was making $2 million from his Element sponsorship, which is just insane!

It is impressive to think that one person could utilize so many different ways to make money, but this just goes to show that Bam has a knack for making money. However, things would certainly change as the years went on.
