Ever since the first season of Julie and the Phantoms premiered, people have been asking questions about season 2 nonstop! The second season has been heavily discussed but it hasn’t yet been confirmed. At this point, fans are speculating that there is no way the show won’t be renewed based on how epic and amazing the first season was.

It was filled with so many amazing songs, romantic moments, and sweet dialogue. The cast members chosen to be in the show were perfectly selected by Kenny Ortega. He knew what he was doing. It would be an absolute shame for the show not to be renewed. That being said, while fans are waiting for the second season to be filmed and released on Netflix, there are some other fun shows to watch in the meantime.

This show is comparable to Julie and the Phantoms simply because it focuses on a group of high school students who have close connections and tight-knit friendships. The kids in Degrassi: Next Class are also different from each other and don’t usually have many things in common but for some reason, they are still able to create deep bonds and be there for each other in various different situations and circumstances. The differences between everyone is what makes the show so special.

Since Julie and the Phantoms is a show that focuses on musical performances, Backstage is comparable as it focuses on dancers and musicians trying to make it in the entertainment industry. Teenagers at a performing arts high school work hard to achieve their goals and overcome the obstacles getting in their way. They all want to get famous and they are willing to do whatever it takes to get there. Backstage ran for two seasons starting in 2016 and is a Canadian TV series.

Another awesome TV show to binge-watch right about now would have to be Greenhouse Academy which premiered in 2017. It is classified as a drama and ran for four seasons. It is about students who attend a boarding school together in Southern California and have to overcome a bad situation. The school they attend is meant for future leaders and the students are held to a higher standard than what would be typical.

It is about a girl named Zoey who magically is able to start hearing people's deepest desires and thoughts but she is only able to hear them through popular songs! In an instant, everywhere she goes, she can hear people thinking through music.

It is obvious that Victorious would be on this list since it is about teenagers who are musically inclined and very talented. A group of teenagers and attend a performing arts high school and train to succeed as singers, actors, dancers, and more.

Since the show is filled with a lot of musical performances, it is easily comparable to Julie and the Phantoms. This show is where a lot of people recognize Ariana Grande for the very first time.

5 Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina

The reason Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is on this list is that it is a show that focuses on supernatural circumstances. Sabrina is a witch who is able to cast spells while being surrounded by all sorts of magical circumstances.

The difference here is that in The Vampire Diaries, the main human teenage girl is interacting with ghosts but in the vampire diaries, the main teenage human girl is interacting with vampires. Nevertheless, the shows are still very comparable. TVD is also the best because it stars Nina Dobrev in the leading role. It also has Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder in leading roles.

2 Glee

Once again, we are adding another show to the list that has a huge musical element to it. Julie and the Phantoms is filled with a lot of original songs, and Glee is filled with music too-- but the songs are not original… Glee is filled with cover songs! Inglee, the high school students perform songs by Britney Spears, Madonna, and other famous musicians throughout each episode of the show. Although the music stylings are different the shows are both fun to dance along to while watching.

While they focus on singing performances in Julie and the Phantoms, Dance Academy focuses on dance performances. It premiered in 2010 and ran for three seasons. Dance Academy is a show that is geared towards the younger audience, just like Julie and the Phantoms is. Younger audiences get obsessed with how great the performances tend to be. It is about a teenager who is pursuing her dream of becoming a professional ballerina. Ballet dancing is her passion.
