The Disney+ series WandaVision has been slowly reintroducing supporting characters to the forefront of the MCU. Individuals like Agent Woo (Randall Park) and Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings) are two of the most prominent, and they could have pivotal roles to play in SWORD.

While S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division) seems to employ nothing but G-men who are much like the first S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents introduced in Thor (2011), there are a couple of renegades in the bunch. Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), for example, is following the Director's orders. But, her protest to attacking the Hex showed she's willing to disobey to do the right thing.

The reason Rambeau is of significance is that she may wind up leading an off-the-books team, one that's very similar to Coulson's clan from Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. If she finds herself in direct opposition to Director Hayward, Rambeau may take off. Though, she probably won't be alone.

Both Darcy and Agent Woo were hesitant to invade the Hex. Yet, despite warning Hayward of the possible repercussions, he went along with the foolhardy plan. Woo and Lewis may wind up in the same boat as Rambeau if they feel SWORD's ulterior motive is to eliminate Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen). The way Hayward's been talking about the Scarlet Witch, he's made her out to be public enemy number one. The missile-equipped drone dropped into Wanda's territory backs up those claims.

So, with Darcy, Agent Woo, and Monica Rambeau all potentially defecting to form their own offshoot of S.W.O.R.D., this may be the beginning of an adventure very similar to Coulson's on Agents of SHIELD. His group started out in a related situation, and it's feasible to picture Rambeau leading the charge with her current comrades by her side.

As far as what the team roles would be, WandaVision has already established that. Darcy is a tech expert with knowledge of cosmic forces, so she'd be technical support, much like Jemma (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Fitz (Iain D Castecker) were. Agent Woo would be the SWORD's Phil Coulson, while Monica Rambeau would be their Agent May (Ming-Na Wen). That said, all the pieces are coming together.

By themselves, the trio doesn't sound like much. But, if Wanda and Vision (Paul Bettany) joined them, it would be a very different ball game. The Scarlet Witch and Earth's android Avenger are two powerhouses that are capable of a lot, and the pair have counterparts on Agents of SHIELD whom they mirror rather closely.

Wanda Maximoff, for instance, is a lot like Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennett). They're both humans who started as outcasts rebelling against the system. Their goals varied slightly, but they both possessed aspirations of dismantling governments.

The pair also share another thing in common; special abilities. Neither was born that way, but they became imbued with superhuman power after encounters with alien artifacts. One was Inhuman, and the other originated from the creation of existence, though both had similar effects on their hosts.

Vision, too, has an AoS counterpart with who he shares more than a few similarities, Mike Peterson AKA Deathlok. While the latter is a cyborg, he expresses the same concerns that Vision has brought up, things like existential crises. They're both plagued by thoughts of being machines, which feels like a contradiction when their consciousnesses tell them otherwise. Of course, the argument can be made they're the same since both are sentient beings.

Nevertheless, the point stands, and these five individuals could become the founding members of a new offshoot of S.W.O.R.D. It's still unclear how their arcs play out on WandaVision, but with the way things are going, they'll probably become known as the Agents of S.W.O.R.D. in no time.
