Suffice it to say the WandaVision Series Finale didn't live up to MCU fans' expectations. It offered a satisfactory conclusion to Wanda Maximoff's reality warp of Westview, though several subplots went overlooked. Vision, specifically, jettisoned off without as much as a word.

To quickly recap, Vision's remnant gave the SWORD-controlled version his memories during the finale. The result saw White Vision (Paul Bettany) break past the mental blockades holding back the truth. The glimpse of his eyes opening and the glowing outline of the Mind Stone on his forehead proved he woke up. Vision flew off shortly after, though things are looking much better for him now.

Even without seeing where the android Avenger ventured off to, it's safe to say he's putting the pieces of his mind back together. He didn't rush back to Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) or the S.W.O.R.D. operations base, which likely means he's taking a break from the action.

The most plausible scenario is Vision went back to the Avengers' facility, the same one that is presumably still a pile of rubble. Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and the Avengers must have called in Damage Control to clean up the wreckage. Of course, it doesn't change where their fallen comrade would go following the events of WandaVision. It's the only home he's ever known, so the compound would be his first destination.

Arriving back at the destroyed Avengers compound would be an amusing scene to watch play out. Everyone thinks he's dead, and a white version flying in would undoubtedly raise some eyebrows. The question is, who would be there to welcome Vision back?

One plausible candidate is Bruce Banner. He was close to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), and Banner probably felt obligated to set the Avengers Compound right after the Endgame battle. Rhodey could also be there to lend a hand, but we need to remember that he's grieving just as much as Pepper, Happy, and Morgan, so he could also be elsewhere.

On the other hand, maybe Vision will return to an empty compound. We've yet to see how deeply affected Tony's friends were by his death, and there's reason to believe they could all be grieving. That would mean the Avengers Compound is vacant.

The intriguing thing about Vision returning to an empty compound is this may be exactly what the MCU needs right now.

As it sits, the Avengers have scattered themselves across the world and universe. Each member is off on solo adventures that won't allow them to respond to threats the way they used to. This fact is pertinent to Vision because he can form a version of the West Coast Avengers the same way his comic counterpart did.

Since most of the team's living members are busy elsewhere, Vision could use the opportunity to assemble a new squad. The good news is he doesn't have to start from scratch because several of his comrades from the comics are already in the fray.

Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye, two prominent members of the West Coast Avengers, can get inducted into Vision's iteration of the team once he kicks off the next Avengers' initiative. They're not the only heroes in the cards, though.

The West Coast Avengers also featured James Rhodes as Iron Man in the comics. He took over for Stark when the latter fell victim to addiction issues. Rhodes then assumed his best friend's mantle as the Invincible Iron Man. Rhodes' MCU counterpart could head down a similar path, despite having several jobs to do in Armor Wars like mentoring Riri Williams. Plus, it's about time Rhodey gets upgraded from B-lister to team leader.

In any case, the pieces are falling into place for Vision to assemble some iteration of the West Coast Avengers. It may not be identical to the comics' interpretation, but with most of the main lineup already in the MCU, there's a good chance they'll team up to become the next band of Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
