Back in 2020, a source for People Magazine revealed just how serious DiCaprio is about his girlfriend. "He is usually very independent, spends lots of time with friends, but because of the lockdown, he has mostly spent time with Camila. He loves being with her," the source said. "They are very close. Leo has spent 24/7 with Camila for months at his house."

Over the years there were rumors that there is trouble in paradise, but it seems as if those rumors weren't based on any facts. In 2022, a source for E! News revealed that the two are doing great. "They are really solid and everything is great with Leo and Cami," the source said. "It's all status quo."

Was Morrone A Teen When She Started Dating DiCaprio?

Now let's do the math. Camila Morrone was born on June 16, 1997, in Los Angeles, California —meaning that she turned 20 in 2017. That year's Cannes Film Festival was held between May 17 and May 28 which means that she was technically still 19 (and a teen) when her romance with DiCaprio started. However, as previously mentioned, the two weren't spotted together publically until later that year when she had already turned 20.

Leonardo DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974, in Los Angeles, California, and in May 2017 he was 42 years old. This means that Morrone and DiCaprio have a 23-year age gap. Of course, anyone who has kept up with Leonardo DiCaprio's love life before Camila Morrone already knows that the actor tends to date younger women. The age gap between the actor and Nina Agdal was 17 years, Toni Garrn was 18 years younger than DiCaprio, and Barbara Palvin and the actor have a 19-year age gap. Besides the fact that all of these ladies are much younger than the actor — they are also all models which clearly indicated that Leonardo DiCaprio has a type.

At the 2022 Academy Awards, actress Amy Schumer made a joke about Leonardo DiCaprio's younger girlfriends by saying "Leonardo DiCaprio, what can I even say about him? He's done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends." During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Schumer revealed that she actually ran the joke by DiCaprio and Morrone.

"He said, 'Go ahead.' You know, Cami — his girlfriend — is, like, the s***. She's actually the coolest b**** you'll meet," Schumer said. "And yeah, they don't...they don't care. I made sure it was OK with them because I've been burned too many times, and I didn't want the camera to cut to somebody looking sad. So, I told the Williams sisters, told Will [Smith], told Leo..."

Considering that Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone have been together for five years, it's safe to say that the 47-year-old actor and the 24-year-old model couldn't care less about what anyone thinks about their age.
