Thanks to the 2022 defamation trial, Hollywood star Johnny Depp managed to get some of his reputation back. The actor was married to fellow actress Amber Heard. From 2015 to 2017, but as everyone surely knows — their relationship ended up in chaos. Together with his ex Vanessa Paradis, Depp has two children, daughter Lily-Rose born in 1999, and a son, Jack born in 2002.

Is Lily-Rose Close To Her Father Johnny Depp?
Prior to Amber Heard's allegations, Johnny Depp and his daughter Lily-Rose have always been very close. While their relationship seemingly went through a few ups and downs over the past years, it does seem as if the father-daughter duo are still on good terms.
In a since-deleted 2016 Instagram post, Lily-Rose Depp wrote "My dad is the sweetest, most loving person I know, he’s been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same." However, it is unclear why the young star ended up deleting the post.
In 2015, the famous Hollywood actor talked about his daughter to the Daily Mail, "Lily's really together, she's a sharp kid and one of the smartest human beings I have ever met," he said. "Whatever she is doing, if she needs any advice, I'm there for her. Kids are going to make their own decisions, but I guess that the only thing you can do as a parent is to offer support. And I do."
Johnny and his daughter have appeared in movies together (Tusk and Yoga Hosers), and in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the young actress revealed that she is open to acting alongside her father again. "Never say never," Lily-Rose said. "That's really not something that I consider first and foremost. What's interesting to me is the particular character that I may or may not be playing and then the story that it's telling. But yeah, I mean, I love to work with great actors."
What Was Lily-Rose Depp's Relationship With Amber Heard?
It seems as if Lily-Rose Depp's relationship with Amber Heard was always strained. For starters, the young model/actress didn't attend her father's wedding which could be a big indicator of her feelings towards their relationship from the start. During the defamation trial, Johnny Depp admitted that his daughter and Amber were not close and that the couple's wedding consisted of "dinner, dancing and drugs" which might be why his daughter decided to pass on it. "My daughter Lily-Rose did not come to the wedding," the actor said. "She and Ms. Heard were not on particularly great terms, for several reasons."
In 2015, when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were still together, the actress opened up about her relationship with Depp's children in an interview with Marie Claire. Back then, Heard said that it is "an honor and the greatest, most surprising gift I have ever received in my life … I feel new flavors that I didn’t know existed. New colors that I didn’t know existed have been added to my life. I’m so happy."
After Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of domestic violence in May 2016, Lily-Rose has always been on her father's side. The model's mother Vanessa Paradis has also defended Johnny Depp, which certainly could have influenced how his daughter felt about Heard's allegations. "I am aware of the allegations which Amber Heard has publicly accused Johnny of for more than four years now. This is nothing like the true Johnny I have known, and from my personal experience of many years, I can say he was never violent or abusive to me," Paradis said.
Johnny Depp has spoken about the reasons behind suing Heard in 2022. "Since I knew that there was no truth to it whatsoever, I felt it my responsibility to stand up, not only for myself in that instance, but stand up for my children," the actor said, "I wanted to clear my children of this horrid thing they were having to read about their father, which was untrue."
The defamation trial brought to light the fact that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's relationship had problems from its beginning, and it certainly seems as if Lily-Rose was always backing her father up which meant she wasn't too fond of Amber Heard.
