The Boo Boo family never ceases to amaze us with its ongoing drama and questionable family dynamics. For those that don’t know, the show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, was a reality TV sensation. It slowly disappeared over the years, as the star of the show, Honey Boo Boo, started to grow up. Just because the family members have gone their separate ways doesn’t mean that their legacy won’t continue.
One of the daughters that we wished we’d seen more of on the show was Anna Cardwell. We didn’t get to see much of her during the episodes themselves, but there are other ways to get to know someone. Anna Cardwell has quite a social media presence, and we managed to find some fascinating facts about her.
15 She’s Been Known As The Estranged Daughter
One of the first facts we know about Anna Cardwell is that she’s the “estranged daughter”. In all the early stuff that came out about Honey Boo Boo, she was always the daughter who came in and out of the episodes. They would talk about her, and we learned that Mama June and Anna hadn’t had a real relationship in a while.
14 But She Still Has Ties To Boo Boo
Both on-screen and off, Anna Cardwell still has ties to her Honey Boo Boo family. She’s close with some of her sisters, even if she’s living far away from them. The other tie to Honey Boo Boo? Some money which is supposedly owed to her by Mama June. We’ll get into that later, though.
13 Michael Cardwell Isn’t In The Picture Anymore
Anna Cardwell’s husband was one of the main people we saw her with on the show. They were one of the first couples present on the show (outside of Mama June and Sugar Bear, of course), and we always thought they were super-sweet. However, they didn’t last, and the divorce was finalized a while ago.
12 And Her New Boyfriend Seems Serious
Like, buy-a-trailer-together kind of serious. They haven’t been together for nearly as long as her and Michael were, but it looks like they’re just as intense. They seem serious, and we’re willing to bet that there’s going to be another wedding soon. They’ll be together forever after this, we think.
11 Mama June Thinks She’s ‘Selfish’
While Anna doesn’t necessarily have the kindest things to say about Mama, it looks like the hard feelings go both ways. Mama June has called Anna Cardwell a variety of things and has discussed the fact that Anna tends to focus on herself. Now, take from that what you will. We think she’s trying to say that Anna has a selfish streak.
10 While Anna Says Mama Owes Her Money
The harsh words keep flying! The big thing Anna is upset about is the fact that Mama June supposedly owes her money from her time on Honey Boo Boo. We’re going to be honest - money has definitely caused a few rifts in families. Is it really the kind of thing to grow estranged over, though?
9 It’s Unlikely Anna Will Ever Be On Another Boo Boo Show
Anna has also been fairly open about the fact that she’ll likely never do another show with Mama June. Mama June is pretty adamant that Anna will never be on another one of her shows, either. Yes, this is directly due to Mama June believing that Anna is selfish, and due to their rough patch regarding the money situation.
8 But She’s Open To Doing Her Own Show
One of the things we do know, though, is that Anna is totally open to doing her own TV/reality show. She and her kids were some of the most interesting characters on Honey Boo Boo, if only because there was a bit of an air of mystery about them. Would we watch an entire show dedicated to Anna Cardwell? Maybe, if only to learn even more.
7 Mama June Still Loves Her
Despite all the issues that we’ve talked about the two of them having, Mama June still has a whole lot of love for her daughter. While many of the issues that they’ve had are still present, it seems like these two are trying to resolve things. We think their relationship will become strong again, eventually.
6 And They Have Granddaughter Visits
There is one thing that Mama June really loves and that’s her children. The one thing that she loves as much as her children? Her grandbabies. Anna Cardwell’s children are Mama June’s grandbabies, and they still have visits with her, according to Mama June herself. She absolutely adores them, and for good reason - they’re super-cute!
5 Anna Seems To Be Happy
In every photo that we see on her social media, she always looks happy. She's always smiling! She and her daughters have created a great life together, and we already know her new boyfriend is bringing joy to her life. Her positivity radiates outward in every photo and rubs off on her kids.
4 She’s Struggled With Insecurity
While many of her photos show off how happy she is, there’s an underlying issue for Anna Cardwell. Her social media posts include some pretty somber messages about how she feels insecure and not beautiful. We really appreciate her transparency. She's bringing awareness about the issue of insecurity.
3 She’s Not Hurting For Cash
We’ll talk about why that is a little later on. While the big drama in her life seems to be that Mama June is keeping money from her, Anna Cardwell isn’t lacking in the money department. This is the fact we learned about her which actually has us kind of admiring her. She’s working at Walmart in her town, helping people every day.

Surely everyone’s heard this fact, which is why we tucked it in here at the end. Anna Cardwell has had a lot of work done. While Mama June did the whole Not to Hot show, Anna Cardwell decided to turn her whole life into a ‘Not to Hot’ story. From teeth to lipo, Cardwell has had quite a few “home renovations” done.
