While many throwback shows are getting rebooted these days, it's not often that a cast gets to reunite the way that the original actors from 'Full House' got to.

Admittedly, since "Michelle" wasn't on the series, there was a bit of a hole there without the Olsen twins. But the rest of the cast got to revisit the bonds they formed on the original series, and it seemed like they were really close-knit for the duration of filming.

Still, some think there's more to Bob Saget's on-screen relationship with his TV daughters than meets the eye. In fact, some people criticized the cast for being fake, and viewers have specifically called out Candace Cameron Bure for being 'too much.'

So what does TV dad Bob Saget have to say about his faux daughters, both on the set and off?

Bob Saget Spoke Candidly With Candace Cameron Bure

In his podcast, Bob Saget chatted with TV daughter Candace Cameron Bure about, among other things, their shared experiences on the set of 'Full House' and 'Fuller House.'

They discussed not only Candace's early days in acting, where she learned about standing up for herself and really guiding the projects she worked on, but also the way that the public tends to almost bully her.

Candace elaborated that people have often said that she's fake, and that the accusation really bothered her. In the podcast, Candace explained that usually, she lets negative comments slide by her. But the accusation that she's fake was something that really got to her.

When directly asked whether he agreed that Cameron Bure was fake, Bob Saget replied that he did not think she was. Rather, he stated that she is "perky," and that there's nothing wrong with that. Further, he noted, Candace is a positive person, and there's absolutely nothing insincere about her.

It seems that Bob Saget's TV daughter still has a close relationship with the man who's been her on-screen dad since she was nine, but what does he have to say about his other TV kids?

What Has Bob Saget Said About TV Daughter Michelle?

Though there was a bit of awkwardness surrounding the 'Fuller House' revival because of the Olsen twins' absence, it seems that it didn't bother Bob Saget that much. After all, he's known the twins forever, and apparently forged a close bond with them during 'Full House.'

Despite no one wanting to come right out and diss Mary-Kate Olsen or Ashley Olsen for ignoring the reboot invite, many fans suggested that the twins thought they were too good to return to the sitcom.

Bob Saget, however, seems to hold his former TV daughters in high regard.

In early 2021, in another podcast, Saget was asked which TV daughter he had the closest relationship with. It was a tough call, he noted, but he did say that he often visited with the Olsen twins whenever they're in the same city.

Even though the two didn't return to TV with the rest of the Tanner family, they're still connected to everyone they worked with, Saget maintains.

Bob Saget's Daughters Bonded With His TV Kids

Another potentially uncomfortable podcast question had Bob Saget explaining which TV kid he had the closest connection with on set. But Bob saved the awkwardness by saying that it was just like with his own kids, and that he loved all his TV daughters the same.

What's more, he really saw Jodie Sweetin as similar to his real-life daughters, in part because she would join his kids for sleepovers during 'Full House' filming. He explained that Jodie hung out with his daughter Aubrey, truly making them just like a big happy family, both on and off the set.

But Bob also stated that all of his TV kids have been a big part of his life post-sitcom.

Bob Saget Credits The Girls With Supporting Him

Another topic of conversation in the podcast was how supportive Bob's TV children have been over the years. Now that all of them are adults, Saget concedes that he's gotten support from the former child actors, specifically when he was going through difficult times in life.

It's heartwarming to know that their bond wasn't just for the cameras and that all of the Tanner family really does have each other's backs in many ways.

Overall, Bob Saget is probably pretty happy that he didn't quit 'Full House' early on, even though that was his intention. After all these years, it's what he's most known for, and in the best way possible.
