Who Is Rebecca Loos?
According to The Sun, Rebecca Loos was born in Madrid, Spain but soon became a Dutch citizen due to her diplomat father, Leonard Loos Bartholdi. She is also a second cousin of journalist and personality Piers Morgan.
While we don't know what Loos' career aspirations were when she was young, she would soon go on to take on numerous roles in the public eye. But before all of that, she worked as David Beckham's personal assistant following his transfer to the Real Madrid football club in 2003.
What Happened Between David Beckham And Rebecca Loos?
Rebecca Loos only worked as David Beckham's personal assistant for a short period of time. Her very public allegations of having an affair with the famed athlete during a four-month period in Madrid, Spain put an end to their working relationship.
According to The Sun, Rebecca Loos gave an interview to News of the World (a British tabloid) in April 2004. This is where she alleged that she had been sleeping with Beckham even though he was married to the former Spice Girl. However, Loos offered no concrete evidence that such an affair ever took place.
Additionally, David Beckham called the allegations "ludicrous" and vehemently denied that anything of the sport ever happened. And while Victoria Beckham has said that she has worked hard to keep her marriage alive, she too stood by his side and denied the allegations.
The pair also stood by each other when he was accused of having an affair with model Sarah Marbeck and with beautician Danielle Heath. All of the accusations surfaced around the same time as Loos's interview with News of the World.
And while Victoria Beckham has had a thing or two to say about her husband's on-screen flirting with Courteney Cox, she has never intimated that he's ever cheated on her.
Rebecca Loos Became A Celebrity After The Beckham Affair Allegations
Following her affair allegations, Rebecca Loos got job offers left, right, and center. According to Closer Online, she earned more than £100,000 weeks after she revealed her version of the truth to the world. She also started a full-blown media career, firstly by being a hostess on Shownieuws, a Dutch show. She also appeared on Channel 5's The Farm where she was attacked by Animal Rights groups for doing something very unsavory to a pig.
Following this, Rebecca Loos was cast on Celebrity Love Island and The X-Factor. She also was part of a staged lesbian wedding ceremony and took part in various charitable organization events such as raising money for the British Red Cross in the London Marathon.
In 2007, Rebecca Loos was also a rarely successful contestant on the Spanish version of Survivor. On top of all of this, Playboy, FHM, Nuts, and other magazines of this nature also featured her on their covers.
But while all of the attention made her some money, Loos, in a 2017 BBC documentary, claimed that the whole experience left her very unhappy, lonely, and lost".
What Is Rebecca Loos Doing Now?
In 2009, Rebecca Loos moved to Norway with her husband, Norwegian doctor Sven Christjar Skaiaa. The pair have two children, Magnus and Liam. But Loos didn't just start a family in Norway, she also started a business.
According to her website, rebeccaloos.com, she also works as a yoga teacher in Oslo. There, she teaches both in-person and online courses as well as hosts various wellness retreats and events. She has trained Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, Senior & Kids yoga, as well as in Restorative yoga and yoga Nidra. She, of course, has been certified as a yoga alliance teacher.
Based on her Instagram, it seems as though Rebecca is living a very happy life with her family in the snow-capped mountains and is feeling more connected to both her mind and body.
