The situation that her old peer is in really got under her skin, and so, Xtina used her fame and social media platforms to speak out. As a mother who juggles a busy schedule, sometimes, the best escape is a family road trip. And with the pandemic, the safest way to get away with her children in the last year was with an RV. She told Today, "We do squeeze in family road trips and weekends when we can. We take this trip to the East Coast to see our families, and it's wonderful to see family wherever in the world you are. We're excited to see each other now, on safer terms."

Although Xtina sings in English the majority of the time, she has decided to tap into her Latina roots - once again - for her upcoming album. It's been over two decades since she showed off her Spanish singing skills on an album!
The 40-year-old (wow, time flies) spoke of her forthcoming album with PEOPLE saying, "I've been in music for a really long time, but there's nothing like being around Latin musicians and artists, the energy they bring to the table, the love and the passion they just bring and exude."

5 A Work In Progress
The singer who topped the music charts for the past twenty years is not going to stop soon!
However, now that she turned the big 4-0, Xtina has been reflecting a lot. Being in the spotlight has never been easy, but the soulful singer has made it a point to work on not caring about what others think of her. The woman with the powerful voice has goals that she's not about to give up on - that's what makes the "Fighter" singer a fighter.
Speaking on her age, she told Health, "And with age, you figure out that life is too short to waste time thinking about what other people think about you." Those are some empowering words!
4 Another New Record?
We mentioned that she's working on a Spanish album, but it turns out she's simultaneously working on an English record! Talk about making an impactful comeback - Xtina couldn't just settle for one album.
Although there are no official release dates that were announced, Xtina spent the last few weeks on social media teasing the release of the anticipated albums. The pop princess, who's been reinspired by music, confirmed both albums saying, "I'm approaching music as a grown ass woman who has had a lifetime of experience."

Her first Spanish studio album was recorded over twenty years ago, so we can expect a more mature tone from the pop diva. Xtina is no longer the teen we first met, and with her forthcoming Spanish album, she took the time to explore her roots - more specifically, her father's. On her upcoming Spanish LP she said, "I'm culturally exploring my roots a little bit more, I'm singing about my father and that's kind of always been sort of an interesting, private but layered topic for me."

Concerts were put on hold when the pandemic hit and the world stopped, but as soon as Sin City reopened, Xtina was there to rock the crowd for her first performance in over a year. To celebrate the opening of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Aguilera was asked to kick off the four-day event. The superstar, who only gets better with age, headlined the event in a latex catsuit with triple belts. The bold and glamorous look, along with her stunning performance won us all over!
1 Well-Deserved Time Off
The former The Voice coach cannot help but continuously gush over her beau, Matthew Rutler. The couple, who met on the set of Burlesque, got engaged back in 2014. And although Aguilera was previously married, all she's focused on right now is always bettering her relationship and being a great mother to her children.
In December 2020, Aguilera spoke exclusively with PEOPLE about her time off. She spoke of how much she valued the "quality family time" she got to spend with her partner, and children, Max Liron and Summer Rain. "It was nice for me to take a reflective pause and a moment and take everything in on a personal level as a mom, as an artist and be able to dig in creatively and make positive changes for my future," Aguilera said.
